Interesting turn of events, club owners are strange beasts, you let your manager bring in loads of new players and expect an instantly jelled team and in less than four months they get rid.
Be interesting to see how they finish up come seasons end.
Can’t bring in the amount of players they did and expect everything to automatically click in to place , expect too much to soon . How many managers seem to lose their jobs before they face the mighty SAFC he seems to be one of the many - are they looking for the new Manager bounce a la Charlton?

Cook is quite highly rated by some Sunderland supporters despite losing to us and being mid-table despite a big outlay.

Yet they're surprised he's been sacked ...

... but feel Johnson should be sacked while two points off top and half a team injured.

It's a funny old game.
Are you Jimmy Greaves in disguise ?

Lee Johnson is 16/1 to be the next Ipswich manager... I know, that ain't happening.

If I were them I'd be trying to persuade Chris Hughton or Steve Bruce.

Bruce is a good shout. He likes to manage both teams in a rivalry. E.g us and them, villa and brum, Sheff Utd and Sheff Wed. He played for Norwich so why not manage Ipswich <laugh><laugh>

Loves a good drink, doesn’t he? Went on like a right tit up here a couple of weeks ago.
One of their posters said they were at a match and sat behind the dugout. The game wasn't going to well and he says he could hear Cook bellowing out his inspirational instructions to the players... 'Well do something then' <laugh>

Sure it was mentioned part of Peter Reids role was to give inspirational speeches in the dressing room.....found that bizarre when i read....if Reids doing that....what the fook does the manager do in the dressing room, meant to be managers role to inspire a performance isnt it?.....he was probably as good as gone at that point

Can't judge a manager by their poor performance at an individual club - just look at Moyes' success at West Ham.

Right managers, at right place, at right time sometimes.

Parky and Grayson would never of been right imo.
I think Johnson and Ross have the right attributes, Ross wrong time maybe ?
Also luck, I think Moyes has a lot of luck, he was on a hiding to nothing here at the time. It was just the manner in which he went about it and the shìt ex players of his he dragged in to drag us down.
The dour, wet, ginger, porridgewog bastad.

Brilliant character description, mate. Well done!
