Firstly I just like to wish you all a Merry Christmas!! but now lets get back to the football and the traditional boxing day fixture which see's us take on Ipswich Town. In our last outing we went down 2-0 to Sheffield Wednesday and after our decent unbeaten run we have now suffered back to back defeats for only the second time this season. Ipswich were able to manage a draw as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with Bristol City. When we played Ipswich earlier in the season we were on a run of 4 without a win and 3 straight defeats. Despite that poor form Ipswich were below us in the league table and we were able to come away from Portman road with all 3 points triumphing 2-1 with goals from Ricardo Fuller and Johnnie Jackson.

Ipswich at home is a game we should be looking to get all 3 points from so I have opted for two upfront with the obvious big man and speedster pairing. We know Danny Green can be hot and cold but I'm of the opinion he deserves another chance as on his day his crosses can be phenomenal. Ipswich are 20th in the league but have had a decent run of late taking 10 out of 15 points available. So just like every other game in the championship it won't be easy but is a very winnable game and after the two defeats away from the valley I am expecting a reaction and a decent win.

Ipswich will play a direct game with big men all over the place, we need to keep it on the floor and play round them

We'll try to oblige Minxy but this is going to be a real hard slog against a side beginning to find its feet - and unless Colin Powell has worked magic on the pitch, it's going to be a right pudding.

Draw 1-1.

Thanks for doing the preview on Christmas Day, Belvedere - above and beyond...<ok>

Any news on the pitch, I can really see this game being called off. Not that I would mind, I can never make boxing day matches anyway.

Please beat them :)

Budgie Lover <doh>

I'd be happy with a draw tomorrow, having said that, if MM get's our boys fired up for it, I see no reason why we can't come away with all three points, we're a much different side to the one you beat in September!

<ok>

Gutted at not being at The Valley today, the Boxing Day gane against Swindon 3 years ago will live long in the memory. Going for another 2-1 win, Kermit with both. Have a great day lads <ok>

Interesting team:

Hamer, Solly, Cort, Morro, seabiscuit, Frimpong, Stephens, green, Haynes, fuller, Hulse.

Quite like that. JJ on bench. Kerkar nowhere to be seen.
