I've been in the UAE all week and I've been watching some IPL.

It's really quite engaging. I can get zero cricket at home but for the tests via TMS but this is a whole different kettle of fish.

First couple of seasons (2010 and 2011) were on ITV4 over here. Then it got popular and went to pay tv.

PL = pub league, which is what T20 cricket is. The spectacle in India is great. I have been lucky enough to get to a couple of games.

But real cricket it is not. You cant beat test matches or 1st class for skill and tension.

You're lucky Orgeon. Definitely on my bucket list. The atmosphere looks amazing on TV, I can only imagine what its like ion the ground. The Indian people just seem totally consumed by it. Some lookers in the crowds too...

Really? Playing the same team a billion times just to win a game? You play an innings, a game, a match, a test, a series.... Christ, just play one game and beat them. Thank the unholy lords of sport that T20 exists.
