A sad state of affairs regarding Southeastern this morning :emoticon-0112-wonde....an unexpected change in the timetable saw the Royston proceeding serenely down the steps to the platform just as his "its 6 mins earlier now train" departed into the sunset. A horrible detour via no go areas like Lewisham resulted...
I once arrived at Sydenham station at 7 minutes past 7, just in time to see the 7:10 disappear into the distance. And the 7:25 was cancelled. It was about 30 years ago but I can still work myself up into a fury by thinking about it. Another good way to get angry is to read the Daily Mail.

Having never put the ignition on in a motor before, not surprisingly I am a fan of the rail network and think it is exagerrated regards their reliability. However, when they f*** up they certainly do it big style. A bit like your story.

Blimey replying at 5am in the morning.

Good to have another member of the Charlton Life creme de la creme on this site.
That’s a treble now, what with @DickPlumb and me.

On an unrelated note (at least where the creme bit is concerned), our old friend Mr Sitter ! has returned from ROT duties calling for Andrew Muir to appoint Murray-era stooges including smarmy Steve Sutherland <laugh>...precisely the WRONG move <doh>

Why do people want to revisit the past all the time? Powell back as manager. Steve Sutherland etc. Let us just move forward. New broom, clear out Keohane and all the people who have dragged us down these four and a half years. Murray being top of the list.
Having said all that I wouldn't mind Bowyer as our next Manager.

Getting concerned <yikes>- almost 18 hours without a post from The Diminutive One <yikes><yikes>

I wonder if he has been caught with his little fingers in the Jack & Jill at the Charity shop ?

Very disappointing developments to report this morning.

Elfs and I were due to visit a local cafe together to chew the fat (literally).

I have just been informed that Elfs is not allowed out today, as Mrs Elfs requires him to “run some errands” for her ?

Life is about compromise, and I love her.
