Is it? I havent got one and went straight on it. How odd. Edit - oh aye, I just got that message when clicking my own link. Instead if you google 'Morrisons Kirkstall Lab store' (if you really can be bothered) you get the exact same full article and dont need the subscription. What a great subscription service that is, well worth the money. Fortnum and Mason
Mesterd28. Nice read and thanks for your efforts. I do think that Steve Bruce will give big Nick P. more than a chance in the PL. But i dont expect to see him against sides such as Stoke City. My hope is that Nick P. comes back for pre-season and gets his head down to prove to the many doubters he has that he can cut it. As for Hull not being very nice, well that applies to most parts of the UK. Parts of London, Manchester, Birmingham are akin to Beirut.
If somebody offers to double your wages but you have to go and live in Hull and there's nobody else who wants you I would suggest you'd take it.
I don't think Nick will get much game time in matches with goals at each end of the pitch and a ball. Having lived in London for 40 years I would say that you will find a really nice street next to a horrible street. In Hull and surrounds there are large areas very similar.
It was borussia moenchengladbach who wanted him in bundesliga thunder. If you wernt so busy scouting German goalkeepers with your dad on football manager, you might have known that.
German interview a week ago exactly ( couldn't translate perfectly but you get the jist). A few awkward comments but we'll leave it to cultural differences. Hull - The Premier League once again has a German newcomer in Nick Proschwitz. He arrives, in the shadow of stars such as the striker Lukas Podolski, with Hull City as they reached the summit in England premierLeague. Last season's top scorer in the second division with SC Paderborn, Nick played a big role in the season final drama. In the 2-2 game against Cardiff City, the 26-year-old scored to make it 1:1, but then missed a penalty in stoppage time. "I thought, 'That can not be true,'" says Proschwitz who came on this season for five competitive matches. The Tigers from North East England had to wait quarter of an hour, sitting in the corridors waiting to see what their rivals (watford) were doing- only to have a happy ending. You have now fulfilled your dream to play in the Premier League. What are you most looking forward to? Nick Proschwitz: "To play in the best league in the world, to compete with so many great players - it's madness! It's amazing when I think about it, the kind of stadiums we'll be playing in the next season - Anfield. , Old Trafford or in the clubs around London and I'm looking forward immensely to the speaking to some of the Germans.. Lukas Podolski, Sascha Riether and so on " Have you ever sought advice from the German legionnaires currently playing in England : Podolski, Per Mertesacker, Lewis Holtby, Robert Huth and Gerhard Tremmel? Proschwitz:... "No, I've not had much chance to chat with any German Premier League players. I am also a bit far away from London, it's roughly two and a half hours by train . When we go out with the team we usually go to Leeds or Manchester. Uwe Rösler offered me to sit together again and chat and share his experiences, but we've not managed to fit it in " What makes Hull City? Proschwitz: "Hull City - the Tigers - that is our hallmark and I think that in England the football tradition and passion is simply huge. So many clubs have a great history and the current mentality is that the city is fully behind the club... . Whenever we play the fans are always in a state of emergency and willing us on, the people are very nice and positive. There is a real buzz around the place right now, but the pressure will now rise. We have a very good and very expensive squad. " Keeper Gerhard Tremmel says Swansea in Wales is better than its reputation. He raves about his balcony with sea view. What is life like in Hull? Proschwitz: "Hull's reputation is that of an ugly city, the city is really not the best I've lived in, but I live in a small suburban house, which is pretty smart. I have an apartment in an old villa - and that's pretty.... I'm feeling comfortable. Also, the sea is only 40 minutes away. " Do you have tickets for the all german CL final at Wembley in May? Proschwitz: "Hopefully, it's still not a hundred percent sure, but my coach wants to get me there with the help of the English Football Association. I will be supporting Bayern, fingers crossed I am a big fan.." Overall he seems relatively positive and settled? I think if he had concerns he'd probably be more open about it to german news and I don't really see any. I think he's had a very frustrating year but the idea of playing in the prem kinda washed everything away.
I heard some cretin call him Auschwitz once and the worse thing is he thought that was his actual name
