Believe so, and it's good to hear stated publicly. Would've been to their benefit to state it publicly earlier, but I'll take it.

Was it dean saunders scribbling the word 'aplikation' onto a placemat and mailing it in? If so he didnt mean it as a prank.

Re-invested in the squad could mean paying their wages, paying their travel expenses or buying new players over the next few years. I wouldn't take it as "We've received in £50m, so we will spend £50m on new players before the end of August"

I wouldn't take it that way either. Even if £50m received did directly translate to £50m to spend it wouldn't necessarily be a good thing to spend it all in one summer anyway.

An excellent interview with Les giving a clear insight into the behind the scenes workings. His comments about Poch and his reasons for going, leave the debate made at the time that the manager and some players, wanted the club to show an intent to improve, as smoke and mirrors. I suppose it shows that a group (manager and players) can still achieve results on the pitch, even though they have different agendas, and are not necessarily bought into the long term. I am confident that we can view the ongoing changes as positive, bringing more and even better times with new people on the bus.

Come on, mods. Do your job. This is clearly the work of a management toadie, not a genuine poster. Surely such blind optimism must not be allowed to go unpunished? Everyone on this board knows that the club is in free fall, and given a couple of years Conference football is the reality - or have I been reading the wrong threads?

Nice post, Big Ron. Does your name suggest a few miles on the clock? We've been here before. Can we trust Les Reed? Who knows, but maybe we need to see how things work out before looking for that car park to jump from. They are either re-furbishing with a view to sell or there is a genuine desire to push on - with or without Messrs Lallana et al. I'm joining Ron in the lunatic asylum and going for the latter. Can't help feeling that we're mad!

That's an odd thing for someone who posts approximately 12 times a day on an internet football forum to say ...

Yes Lambo, I go back to early 60's, and have seen quite a few twist and turns in that time. We are all entitled to be sceptics when our club speaks to us, however I feel a an extra level integrity was added when ML took over. I'm happy to believe that KL is going to carry on the good work, and we as Saints fans can enjoy supporting a team we love and admire.

Just watched the video again and it's interesting that all the cuts to different cameras happened mid-sentence, confirming the one-take feel. I still don't get (aside from the years of disappointment and betrayal) why so many on here don't trust the current board. There is a coherence to what is being said and done. When you look at the quality of what has been done at the training ground, this is your evidence of commitment to quality and excellence. Those who doubt it should switch of their twitter feeds and take a look; you can't misinterpret that!

The daily echo have picked out a bit that i quickly forgot after watching the interview

is he acknowledging that in retrospect, having seen the very public complaints of players, or does he feel he's been doing that all along?
