Good interview, better late than never

 

Is it late? Don't really want the club's officials at the beck & call of the scumbag tabloid media, who'd have them giving press conferences daily... and then ignore what's said and just print a few rumours instead.

The fans have been wanting information, but again, lot of it is just the usual bedwetting kneejerkers, who want everything yesterday and their hand constantly held.

 

That's about as good as I think the fans can ask for, so hopefully it's enough.

 

I think the Angst from some Fans, Panicing over nothing can be put to bed. We can enjoy the world cup more so now. I've even got to the point where I'm not honestly worried about the sales of Lallana or Shaw, As the club will be doing due diligence and Signing far better Players.

I'll have you know I lasted two and a half minutes. He talks very slowly though. Sounds a bit like Michael Caine. I'll just let people on here sum it up for me. You could say I have a short attention span, or you could say that, of the three hours of free time I have between getting home from work and going to bed, I won't be spending 20 minutes, or one ninth, of that time listening to Les Reed waffle on. Time is precious.

Interesting they didn't re-shoot the players/clubs slip-up. Is that the first time anyone on the board has clearly stated that any money made from player sales will be re-invested in the squad?

 

The interview was OK, I guess, but I still found myself laughing along to it all, rather than taking him seriously. Talk of international managers, and those who have won European trophies as managers, just seems untrue considering some of the names that have come out in the media.

One small point is that it seems there is no pre-season tour this year.

 

yeah I don't think they entertained the possibility of players leaving in previous interviews. guaranteed is the key word from Les.
