Me too. The locals in Cardiff thought they had the right to be rude about the English, when good manners usually prevented me from retaliating. However, one girl told me dramatically that she felt the waves of hate as soon as she crossed the Severn Bridge....I said,'' The English don't hate the Welsh....they never give the Welsh a single thought''. About the only time I thought of a response at the time instead of 24 hours later.Never turned mine! It's made me more English, if anything (due to the anti-Englishness of the clientele). I cared a lot less when I was in England.
