I've seen a lot of teams set up badly, but Foden on the left when he needs to be on the right or not playing ranks with some of the more remarkable examples of it. What's astonishing is that it nullified two players of the accomplishments of Foden and Bellingham at once. I said the subs were an improvement. Within a couple of minutes of Foden leaving, England scored. If a not terribly knowledgeable fan like me can see that, why can't Southgate? I also think that while his accomplishments are fairly impressive, he's been on the slide for years now and should make way for a more progressive and positive manager.Have not watched a single minute of the game, but :
1. the stats tell me enough
2. the appearance of rwaeb from the void
that it must have been a dire watch up to the escape.
Anyway, I find I'm doing a two steps backward and one step forward disappearance from sports chat over the years. In every case but Not606 it's because I don't like other people bickering and can't stand when I bicker myself. In the case of Not606 it's that the level of expression is high enough it makes me self-conscious about posting.
I do want to say I think very kindly of the Spurs Not606 supporters and wish you all nothing but the best.
