Have not watched a single minute of the game, but :

1. the stats tell me enough
2. the appearance of rwaeb from the void

that it must have been a dire watch up to the escape.
I've seen a lot of teams set up badly, but Foden on the left when he needs to be on the right or not playing ranks with some of the more remarkable examples of it. What's astonishing is that it nullified two players of the accomplishments of Foden and Bellingham at once. I said the subs were an improvement. Within a couple of minutes of Foden leaving, England scored. If a not terribly knowledgeable fan like me can see that, why can't Southgate? I also think that while his accomplishments are fairly impressive, he's been on the slide for years now and should make way for a more progressive and positive manager.

Anyway, I find I'm doing a two steps backward and one step forward disappearance from sports chat over the years. In every case but Not606 it's because I don't like other people bickering and can't stand when I bicker myself. In the case of Not606 it's that the level of expression is high enough it makes me self-conscious about posting.

I do want to say I think very kindly of the Spurs Not606 supporters and wish you all nothing but the best.

It's always good to see you posting RWAEB no need at all for self reflection on levels. We even talk to posters from West Ham and Liverpool and tolerate Munse from Newcastle who manages to downgrade his comments all the time on the Spurs board but often talks sense elsewhere. Strange but harmless a bit like a Tarantula.
Your posts are always thoughful and interesting, keep 'em coming.

I’m the opposite, RWAEB, bickering often brightens up my day.

I’ll just be in a mood every now and then so go over to the Prem board and call an oppositions’ team player really ****, then just enjoy the engagements that follow.

You can raise it up a level by doing it on here too, just call Werner **** and watch @Citizen Kane. fly in like superman and defend his hero.

Good to see you back mate.

And no need to feel self-conscious.

Most of us just have very eloquent arseholes.

Next year's Balon d'Or winner.

You heard it here first.

Jude Bellingham has been fined and given a suspended ban for his celebration gesture.
Merih Demiral's gesture was taken less lightly, though.
He's been banned for two games for being a stupid fascist.

The Turkish FA are appalled, apparently. Shame.

I will considering you not showing up to comment
whenever the "rweab list" is posted, to be an insult
of the highest order.

UEFA have clearly decided that something needs to bring down the quality of today's ties.
Anthony Taylor gets Spain v Germany, while Michael Oliver ruins Portugal v France later.

Disappointing half. Both sides seemed more interested in leaving one on each other than creating chances.

Extra time. Spain have only themselves to blame. Just tried to sit on the 1-0.
They need to get back on the ball and play some football now. Stop Fullkrug having such an influence.
