I really don't mean this the wrong way but my impression is that you're more optimistic and forgiving when it comes to England and its team than when it comes to Spurs and our team. You seem to have more faith in Southgate than you do Ange.

Apologies if I've overstepped or misunderstood, I'm just making an observation.

It’s a fair point. I find it easier to back England because I can genuinely see how they can win something. With Spurs I don’t see that. Spurs see success as top 4, I want to see actual trophies. I don’t particularly think Southgate is a good manager but I think he’s had good results with the national side. Ange talks a good game but I’m not sold on him yet, I think he’s stubborn and tactically naive.
 
Just a reminder, you are talking to someone who watched Serbia vs Denmark the other night out of spite

...and still had running commentary for the England match, because football coverage in this country is a professional operation
