That was a mixed bag from a Spurs viewpoint - The injury to Dier is one we could have done without, 2 lots of 60 mins for Dele, should have been good for his overall fitness, Harry scored a goal in each game and that's no bad thing and Rose is still not quite the player he was 2 years ago. And no one is surprised that Trippier didn't get any game time, but equally with Serge out he didn't aggravate his injury either.

Against Colombia... Should've known better than to wear yellow against him, to be fair.

    Awful defending for their goal.
Barkley won't have had many games where he's had a bigger impact.
Nice to see Sterling shoving the local fans' racism down their throats, too. Embarrassing stuff. Hope they're suitably punished.

BBC news are saying that Rose got most of the crowd abuse at Montenegro.

Watching the game on ITV last night the commentator said he thought that " something was said" and that was the reason for Stirlings reaction, he must need his ears cleaning as it was pretty obvious that the black players for England were getting the racist abuse

My worry about Trippier is that ahead of the break he was talking about how time away with England could help him kick start his season for the home stretch. Zero minutes will have done his confidence zero favours and I for one am dreading him up against Mane on Sunday.

I was driving through a tunnel listening to 5live when Rose picked up his yellow card and the monkey noises were audible above the static and general din of my car's crap engine. It was disgraceful and until they start booting teams out of tournaments for persistent reoffending the local authorities will turn a blind eye.

Racism is a huge problem in society not just football.

Something needs to be done from the top down.

Doesn’t help though when a small group of powerful Tory MPs call their group ‘Grand Wizards’

Denmark, Sweden and Norway all scored three goals last night

Finland and the Faroes letting the Scandi side down a bit by only getting three between them...

    Kuntz.
Walker-Peters looks well off the pace and needs a season out on loan, in my opinion, but that 2nd German goal was bullshit.
Obvious head injury and the ref somehow completely misses a player down in the box. <doh> Awful.

Eriksen with a couple of important contributions, as Denmark spoil Sommer's clean sheet.
The less said about Schmeichel on the third Swiss goal the better, I think.

    Society is f***ed up completely.
In the interests if diversity and tolerance, we divide people into more and more sub groups.
The effect is to create more differences and give those who are inclined towards being discriminatory more excuses to find divisions and grievances.
Racism has always been there, but the attempts to address it seem counterproductive and counterintuitive.
Can't we just see people as people irrespective of their race, colour, creed, gender, sexual orientation etc?

I've been to other clubs following Spurs over the years and have found it disturbing when the opposition fans have given us a real hard time It won't change. They want their team to win whatever and will call you anything, whatever race you are,if it can help their team win.
We've actually been chased to the stations when visiting Manchester and Liverpool in the past!

I agree Luke and a large part of this problem is the indoctrination of children into religious and other beliefs of their parents. Children should be respected as people and given the chance to form their own opinions as adults not messed up with medieval notions of of how the world should work. Every church turned into a shop or place of entertainment is a victory for humanity. The human race will never progress until it is able to allow humans to grow with open minds and use the power of reason that the various religions are so eager to suppress.
