Well this game has summed up England and Hodgson.
In a game where, rightly or wrongly, we were favourites, we've struggled to break the other team down and after conceding so early ruined any chance we had to going on to win the game.
The game against Germany will suit Hodgson's "underdog" tag he likes where we can sit back and defend, allow Germany to try and break us down and then try nick a goal. We may get battered for 80 minutes but if we come away with a draw or a shock win, it will be hailed as a brilliant performance by all.
I said a while ago, Hodgson may be good for England in the WC as he likes to set up his team as an underdog and try and nick games against the favourites. If we get a tough group then we may just go and do that.
