Well, obviously you are entitled to your opinion, but IMO we play a much more open game than Liverpool do and our defence is asked to do a lot more. That doesn't make them worse players, it is just how we play. Once you set out your stall to play that way, and sign players to play that way, and train to play that way, you cant just drop back into a defensive 4-4-2 for away games because you dont have the players to play that way. Liverpool keep it tight, but because of that they have trouble scoring goals. Doesn't mean their defence is better. I think that we have the greater potential to improve, and I think that is why the manager has us playing this way. Liverpool can only be just so good, playing the way they do. Really they resemble us before we changed to the 4-3-3. Struggling to score, getting a lot of draws at home and dropping a lot of points to the so-called smaller clubs. We need to play as well as we did against Chelsea and the Spuds. We may let in more, but we can still win by scoring more. Doesn't mean the defence is worse.
