I have noticed that flags must have a fire certificate (not that I plan to bring one). I wonder does that also apply to flares?

Yeah that's screwed me as I'm coming straight from airport! Was only planning on a small rucksack & VERY bare essentials but might have to reassess or just take a chance?
I am very old, but the last time I was in Milan (1981?) there were lots of left luggage lockers in Milan's railway station. The station may be nowhere near the airport, or The San Siro, but it may be worth looking for left luggage lockers. One thing that occurred to me - what about ladies' handbags? Are ground security really going to try to remove handbags from females? I know several female Saints fans (who are all utterly charming
), and I would not dream of asking them to leave their handbags behind, mostly because I'm quite attached to my test-ticles (just to see if this gets past the censor)
I'm supposed to be flying back Friday....not looking too hopeful atm

I'm travelling to Turin from Milan Friday afternoon on the rattler. Just been on their site and they are not expecting problems and are still selling tickets for all day Friday.
So I rang Air Italy who at first told me that my flight wasn't one of theirs which was kind of worrying 
and then said they have no information on strikes yet but might have more tomorrow.
So I rang lastminute.com who I booked with and they said have had no news of any cancellations yet but it could change and to keep checking my emails.
Not overly helpful either way just have to hope for the best!

I would just go and enjoy the match and let the return take care of itself. Worrying won't fly a plane....you will get home some time. 
Warning - Inter Milan fans are very pissed off at the moment.

That's good that the fans are in a row with their best player - I'll be disappointed with just a point going into this game.
They're not in great form, the squad is reduced because of FFP. It's only their history and club status which makes this match intimidating
