Hull City's Mohamed Diame seeks advice from Paris specialist
HULL City midfielder Mohamed Diame will visit a surgeon today to learn when he will be fit to make a comeback in the Championship.
Diame’s debut season at the KC Stadium was ravaged by injuries following a £3m switch from West Ham United.
Not since the 1-1 draw at Everton in December has Diame been able to start a game for the Tigers and his season was eventually curtailed when having an operation on his knee in early May.
Almost eight weeks on from the surgery, Diame will visit a specialist in Paris where it is hoped he will be given the all-clear to step up
The original outlook for the Senegal midfielder was a “period of two to three months” out and that would cast doubt over his role in the opening weeks of the new season.
Like fellow injury victim Robert Snodgrass, Diame is unlikely to play a full role when pre-season starts a week on Monday.
City have just four weeks and five friendlies to prepare for the new Championship campaign and there will be no prospect of rushing Diame back

Positive News For Diame
The Tigers have received further good news on the fitness front following Mohamed Diame’s trip to France to see his knee surgeon.
Six weeks on from his surgery both the surgeon and the Club’s medical staff are happy with his progress. He will continue his gym-based rehabilitation before commencing outdoor work in July. It is hoped a return to competitive play will be possible early in September.
Tom Huddlestone is another making good progress after surgery. The midfielder underwent a procedure on his ankle at the end of last season but is already back in light training. It is expected he will make a full recovery in time for the new season.
The good news on Diame and Huddlestone follows on from last week's positive update on Robert Snodgrass. Our exclusive pictures showed the Scottish international running outdoors 10 months on from the knee injury that ended his 2014/15 season on the opening day.
Meanwhile, young defender Brian Lenihan is another who is making progress in his recovery from the injury sustained whilst on loan at Blackpool last season. The Irish defender has returned to light training and will look to return to full training over the next few weeks.
