Without talking to people personally, this is rather difficult to say. Frankly, I don't care if it is a non league manager so long as they are hungry.
The likes of Mouriniho and his former sidekick now at Chelsea started as backroom staff, not even on the football side but true ability stands out and this was noticed and put in charge, they both rose to great achievements - Like I said, good man managers have a certain aura about them (e.g. Lambert) and we this is what we need right now...

personally i was wrong about buckle. after our relegation, i wanted someone like a big name who could get us back up and wasnt too keen on buckle as not experienced enough although has done well in his short time as manager. but he has proved me wrong very early with some of his signings and the style we play. i have missed the football down the years what buckle has us playing. im very happy with our manager. i think these days, a hungry manager as you state would be a up and coming manager looking to prove himself. i have a feeling though that some of your fellow fans would want a very big name though.
