If you aren't here to discuss horse racing with people like me then why respond?

Look, you're very transparent. If you use Horse Racing Index you'll already know of the 'proven' successful tipping services so you're points don't stack up. That's okay though Hackett. It appears you came on here to conduct market research and advertise your tipping service. A few of us noticed that and don't appreciate it.

I have nothing to prove to you about my knowledge of the sport. It seems like maybe you're the one who's lacking in that department if you need a tipping service...

I responded to you because you were talking utter nonsense, and offended me with your previous, misguided comment.

If you look at what I put to you, one of the words I used was "promising", so up and coming services that are not established. Also, not every service proofs to that particular website, so again your comment made no sense.

Like I said I am not here to advertise, as I have not actually mentioned the service I am part of.

I didn't realise there are so many "punters" on here that are reluctant to gain information off others, obviously because they get a little up tight at the thought of someone being more knowledgeable than them. Fair enough to the people who bet for fun, but to the people who ignore tipsters and display a negative attitude towards them for possessing more knowledge than themselves, you are simply deluded. Good bye.

Also, a quick peek at that list iindicates that the top 'tipster' on that list has a service which has returned 13% over a 2 year period. That period would cost you £2800 to be part of. In order to make your costs back you'd have had to stake £21,500. Anyone who can stake £10k a year on gambling either: a) has enough money to mean the service is only useful to a proportion of the population too small to make the service worthwhile, or b) should be using that money for more important things.

At £1400/year though, just think - the guy only needs 30 members and he's turning over £42k for his day job, which he spends studying racing, in the knowledge that a 5% return with his imaginary money is enough to be 'the best in the industry'. That's a winning strategy! It's a shame that signing up to them certainly isn't.

    Ridiculous.

I think we have just gone a full circle from my initial point that the cost of the service normally wipes out the profit unless you are prepared to bet big money.

Well that was fun. Obviously no-one will be monitoring the success or otherwise from this point so I'll remove the challenge thread.

Might as well close this one some time soon also.
