So, are we going to sign a keeper or are we happy with Dickinson? Almost seems silly to sign another young keeper and send Blunkell out on loan.
Manchester United have already sanctioned a loan exit for Dean Henderson to Nottingham Forest and want to fill the void left by him before letting Bishop leave.
I think they screwed over Henderson. He was on the verge of England to not getting a game. I can’t see why he stayed there.
HEREFORD FC have signed Football League striker Aaron Amardi-Holloway ahead of the new season. He was too good for Wycombe
I said on another thread we are 2 signings away from playoffs/auto contenders. Obviously a keeper and centre back. I’d love a permanent experienced keeper however happy with Bishop permanent (1 year left at Man Utd) on a long term deal, would settle for a loan but not ideal. I think we are waiting on Mawson, if no championship club (or league 1 with a big wage) come in for him then he will sign. I’d be very happy with Taff and Mawson at the back then Forino coming in when one is injured. All 3 at the back in a 5 would be formidable.
In addition, there are bound to be loads of players out there who are scrambling to get a contract and GA will pounce when the time is right.
Actually is there anywhere to see who is available on a free. Might be fun to try to put together a squad of freebie’s.
This is all I could find Transfer news: Summer transfer window 2022 - Championship ins and outs | Transfer Centre News | Sky Sports
Sean Morrison the ex Cardiff and Reading central defender would be a cracking signing if we could convince him to join us.
I'd be happy with that as we can't keep playing a rookie keeper or mid table at best awaits this season,Ainsworth needs to sign another keeper as Man U are taking the p*ss over Bishop. I'm sorry but Ainsworth is coming out with the same crap as he he did 5 or 6 years ago.
https://the72.co.uk/2022/08/08/turkish-outfit-make-move-for-out-of-favour-middlesbrough-man/ Surely we could match that offer, then it’s just down to wages.
After looking at this I would love Smithies, Morrison and Carroll. Experience and character, just what’s needed.
I doubt we would. Others may think differently but, good as he was for us, I don't see him fitting in now
I wouldn't want him back either Ron and as you say i can't see him fitting in as we have enough midfielders at the moment.
