How can anyone be Plakka following NUFC? hardly glory hunting is it? The Keegan era was 20 years ago, it was entertaining and fantastic to watch but it won nowt, since then bar the odd blip we've been a mid table team at best (and often a lot worse). Still following that kinda mediocrity after 20 years is anything but plakka.
You on the other hand are a different stereotype, the "chip on the shoulder, nose against the glass, obsessed with NUFC" Mackem.

Been going nearly every week since 1972. Queued up overnight for tickets in the 70's, seen Newcastle on 40 odd grounds including several in Europe, shed blood and tears for my club, changed jobs, houses and even my wife once. Geordie or plakka mag I'm not.

I reckon plakka mags will be a thing of the past when the supermarkets start to charge 5p for them, thankfully hearing aids will not go the way of the Dodo.
Doubt it there will still be plakka mags at ASDA Ashley Sports Direct Arena

Have I missed something here? Like a series of successful campaigns laden with silverware and trips to the outer reaches of the globe to compete is World Club competitions!
So what you're saying is that not only do 'fans' need to be local to the area but heaven forfend they were born in the 80's and started supporting their local team in the 90's when they were a bit less ****e than they had been previously but still won bugger all. Don't think I've ever been told that supporting NUFC was 'glory supporting' before. You don't half talk rot NMG.
I also support Durham cricket team as its the most local major county to where I'm from (Whitley Bay) but not exactly around the corner. Anyone who knows about cricket will tell you that wasn't exactly glory supporting in the 90's either!
