ILD - if you ask me would I want 12th or 17th then obviously I'd take 12th and I want us to finish as high up the table as possible. However if the choice was take 17th and finish the season today or take my chances in May then as things stand I'd take 17th, clear the club debts and guarantee an income stream for a couple more seasons with a view to adding 5k to the stadium and using it as a springboard to take the club forward. It's not a lack of ambition but just the desire to keep the club moving forward with a view to taking the next step up to being a solid PL club and then in the fullness of time who knows.
Sorry mate that's not a view I would take, as I said before no one is going to give us anything and the season isn't going to finish today or tomorrow. We are going to have to earn our place by playing football, and god willing we will stay up even if it means we finish 17th. I don't want to be in that last day dog fight again, remember the last two we were in???? I do and it hurt and still does. I just don't think that by saying we'll accept just scraping it is very positive, it may well happen and if it does then I will happy, but I would prefer being safe a few weeks before all that crap again!!
ILD its just a philosophical way of debating whether 17th is realistic or whether we'll even survive. Its just a different way of debating the point. Obviously no one is going to end the season early or give us freebies.
BRILLIANT - hope they get less than 10,000 on Wed just to show what fans think of the outrageous prices.
I do understand what your saying, but it's pointless, none of the things your saying are going to happen. All I'm saying is, that yes I want us to be in (not just survive) the premiership next season, if that means our fait means finishing 17th then so be it, and it's the best the team could manage by putting in committed performances each week, I'll be happy, but I want us to be better than that. Hoping for it or the season to finish tomorrow is not going to happen so I don't understand why people keep saying it!!
I honestly can't remember him ever delivering an important cross or scoring a memorable goal with his right foot. And I really rated the guy, and still stick up for him when the usual suspects pipe up with the old 'he left Leeds so **** him' type nonsense. But in the interests of fairness, he was always hugely left-footed. PS, I've selectively ignored certain hateful comments from the bullies of this board. No need for this personal abuse in the future.
It wouldn't have been a memorable goal or an important cross, he was about ten yards out perfect for right foot, instead he went left foot and all chances of him scoring vanished. The first Robert Snodgrass video I see on YouTube is him scoring a very decent goal with his right foot for Leeds. Watching that first strike on the video, I wouldn't say his right foot is bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txqi98IP2po&feature=related
i understand leeds fans accused norwich fans via twitter of singing pro-jimmy savile songs at villa park on saturday seriously, what the hell is the matter with leeds fans? they disgust me at times.
I can only surmise that in some way it helps some of their numbers to be able to say "Look! It's not only us" and helps them to feel that their fans actions are in someway slightly less unacceptable because other clubs fans can be just as guilty on odd occasions. I have no idea of any of our fans did sing such songs on Saturday or not, I didn't not hear any while watching the game. If they did I would guess they were mocking an individual in the ground that may have looked a little like him as opposed to celebrating Jimmy Saville as some kind of iconic figure. Just banter so I am told but I am sure many will not see it that way, especially if it fits in with their current argument.
