My only real memory of the day was the parting of the crowd all around me as a big bloke declared he was going to have a piss on the terraces. I don`t think I got wet - my brother firmly believes I did! We argue about it even now!
Just picking up on that point about Clive Walker being a cockney, I remember talking to him in Annabels some time after that final and he was genuinely gutted to have missed that penna and he was also sad that sunderland fans thought of him as a cockney as he said he hated the f...ers even though he'd played for Chelsea, anyway just googled him and he was born in Oxford.
Blimey. Annabels, that takes me back.
Remember, The old 29, Trax, Upper deck, Continentals, and the creme dela creme. The Barbary Coast.
Good times for fighting whether you wanted to or not.
Pity about the game.

It was sweet revenge for us as you beat 3-1 at Carrow Road the week before![]()
Can't remember ever going to Fusion. It was always seen as a place for older folks (21+) when I was a kid.

In their 30's...Mate, that was practically geriatric back then and just wrong...How times change.![]()
