Ah! another fan of my ideas. I am sure I'd have audience figures go through the roof - BUT possibly back to zero after about 10 of my ideas?
 
mmmm. - grid in reverse order, dividing quali times into 3 and random picking line-up sequence, having rain collector on the back to add weight for downforce? Narrower tyres to reduce traction. All brainwaves of mine - impressive aren't they?

Rain collector, i'll be honest, will not help. Downforce isn't generated from physical mass really. They don't want it to be heavy, as it increases braking distance, and slows acceleration, they want downforce to work at high speed as it reduces ride height, and allows faster high speed cornering. Reverse order is fantastic, but, thy'd all qualify slowly to make sure they're not at the back, unless you gave points for getting on pole, before it's reversed

Bergy, did you have a hand in the concept of the original Wacky Races? If so, Ernie, Genji and myself (amongst many others but possibly not Manny) can squarely lay the blame at your door for a real life F1 driver who modelled himself on your leading character…

Random - it wasn't only to collect water for weight - they could release onto the track whenever somebody came up behind !! You really must keep up with my posts. Detention for you next time! Pay attention at the back!!
 
Spreading oil on the track should prove interesting, that has already been tried in Cuba in 1958 by Batista but his plan failed and he fled the country.
 
Ernie: you failed Geography then? When was Brentford/QPR ever in Essex? I missed that, probably studying the tasty teacher and not listening? You are thinking of Brentwood?

Ha! Ha! I was very good - but trouble - so I was removed from Geog class during 'choices' - euphemism for 'what will you drop?'
So it was multiple maths subjects for me..... and Russian revolution ( now why did they think that suited me )!! I never actually lined up the Gov't and shot them. Thought about it, yes.
 
Berg, Choices ! never any choices or option's at my school, one got canned into submission by a vicious headmaster, the evil bastard, who always wore his mortar and carried his cane.

But I did alright in spite of him, you let us all down by not lining them all up, quick, there's still time. !
 
sounds familiar - our Grammar school head wore his robe and mortar a lot - but not the cane. I did get the cane a few times - but it was rare for any of the others to get that far. I broke the record for detentions and was only just reprieved from being expelled (pleaded by older sister there).
If you can you do ....if you cannot you teach !!! pretty true?
 
Berg; He just made me more determined to succeed in life, maybe that was his aim, so I did, because I can, teaching is not for me.



I suspect you are the same.
 
How to measure success? well its not just material things - although very nice. I believe happiness mixed with a need to strive for things is success.
'don't look back' wishing you had, but backed off is not good. The other aspect of course, is who did you tread on, on the path upwards?
Can you sleep soundly without guilt? Rudyard Kipling's If. says a lot for me.
