Oh yeah to all those Saints fans who've now sloped off... WHERE'S YOUR ****ING NEXT BIG THING BRAZILIAN FORWARD?? Dumbfucks, stick with your cockle selling and donkey rides
A pricey and unproven forward player has never proven to bad business for Liverpool. Next year will definitely be your year.
Just thinking about this thread and its supposition that Soton have been amazing in the transfer market, then I had a thought thats not always true. Osvaldo is still their biggest buy, £13m might not seem alot in the current market but for club Soton's size and reputed good financial control that's a lot of money to have spent on a player who has managed 13 games and deemed surplus to requirements. Then there is Gaston Ramierz, again £12m isn't all that much, but 2 seasons of pure averageness only for them to fail to sell him (btw thanks for saving us from him) And to a lesser extent Shane Long, who lets not forget was bought as a striker, with only 5 goals in 31 games. Again the price was only £12m. Thats £37m on three players, two of whom are probably on their way out of the club, that's a fair chunk of money for players that haven't really sparkled.
The first 2 you are spot on. Shane Long was not brought in for his goalscoring prowess. He nearly always plays on the flanks and was brought to bring some industry to Saints forward line. Similar to Kuyt's role at Liverpool.
Blimey, this is all a bit embarrassing. Just for reference, the majority of Saints fans think we'll finish around 9th/10th next year. Yes we're progressing, yes Liverpool are having a bit of a sticky patch, but we're not quite at the level to get all Billy Big Balls about stuff just yet. Things can turn around very quickly.
Edited and quoted Roger so he can see. But yeah not really much coming back from that when it's a fan /dressing room favourite n been with us since League 1. Why oh why couldn't he of headbutted Lovren?
Hopefully Mario does it instead PS...unlikely though since that would involved Balotelli actually moving
