Anyone listen to 606 tonight ?

our friend made a late stop in and honestly it is the funniest thing ever. It was like a loop about Barnsley and how Sheff Wed should be in the premiership. Savage was going bonkers. Got to love Arkle not having any of Savage mind <party>

Why would you do that? Wait a year to spout exactly the same rubbish as last time? The guy has serious problems. I wish he would have brought Arkle into the conversation though <laugh>

That has to be one of the funniest arguments I've ever heard. It was brilliant when Savage used his very own EOS line on him 'Barnsley are better than Sheffield Wednesday at this moment in time End of story'

Normally when you get idiots on these phone in's, they cut them off, but Savage found him so entertaining, that he was asking for him to be kept on the line. I often wonder wether SA actually believes some off the rubbish he says:biggrin:
 
I was just listening to the podcast version of this and had to have a chuckle because even before I came on here, I knew it was Himself.

Thanks for the clip RV. Good grief! Funny, yes, but tragic that a person can take team-worship to such insane levels. Erm, RV, or any former BBC 606 forum member, a question. How on earth did a Greco/Greenford man become a supporter of Sheffield Wednesday; did he work up there? At least I could cycle every other Saturday to watch my old team play. But Surrey to Yorkshire would have been a shade too far! Good radio clip, thanks again RV. <ok>
 
He's an interesting person Swanny. In the years I had contact with him on the old site, we only came to "blows" a couple of times. When he first bounced me, I reacted and we ended up being polite to each other. From that point on, we were fine. Though I never really gor into the heated stuff that happened when he got up a head of steam. He could be really single minded, but also rather personable at other times.
 
Cyc: Believe it or not I remember that first brief encounter. Well, suffice to say, I do agree with your observations. However, a difficult man and hard to understand at times.
 
Nightmare springs to mind. I defended him on many occasions and tried to help him on his approach to the forum but in the end I had to give up.
