Otherwise known as burying one's head in the sand?
Doubt anyone's doing that. Point is, there are plenty of threads where one can join in with the gloomier stuff.
It's not for everyone.

Otherwise known as burying one's head in the sand?

I do find it strange that when there are threads that appear to be doom mongering but have been put together with constructive if damning criticism of the management and players it is assumed you want the team to lose. If anybody doubts any other posters love for this club and the enthusiasm and excitement that has been building for tomorrows game, then they are completely out of order.
I can't wait for kick off but following CH's assertion in the media, that basically it is the players fault we haven't been winning, then I have gone with my head and predicted a 0-0 draw. My heart is aching for 5-0 home win and countless chances created. I would love all the smart arses to be able say I told you so tomorrow at 4.50pm and I look forward to hearing it. After 53 years of being in love with this club, the last three months have been up there with some of the worst so I my heart is singing with Beefy that its on for tomorrow. Don't let me down

The last three months have been up there as some of your worst? Really!?
I don't have a problem with "constructive if damning criticism of the management and players" as long as constructive is the key element.
There has been too much of a habit on here of damning criticism without reasoning or explanation about how the situation could be improved. Moreover, there is a tendency to be very black and white. I.e., the view that "if Hughton's not good he's bad". Obviously that's a generalisation, but I feel that too often the strengths of the manager (and certain players) are lost because it i much easier to get fanatical in criticism. As will all things other than Roeder, we shouldn't lose sight of the positives, especially when the negatives are really grating.
This has translated into anyone who is remotely positive, even caveated, being harshly jumped on.
I find much of what you say acceptable except your defence of CH. He is documented far too many times in blaming the players. That is not good management in my eyes. Whether or not I am justified in my belief that it is his style that is causing this problem matters little. But I assert my belief that he should be taking the flak. What he says in the dressing room is his business but don't tell the world that the lack of goals is down solely to the players.
And there is nobody who wants him to fail. But success isn't just staying in the Prem. It is also turning out a value for money performance as many times as possible.
Yawn! We done being depressed now? Anyways! Football! Only hours away!!! YES!!!

I agree people can raise concerns, suggest solutions, but there are those that almost want defeat to justify their positions.
When Saturday comes, full on support, there can be no excuse. To wallow in self pity is a small club mentality. Put the worries to one side and believe in the team that has produced this year.

I'm sorry, it was the highlighted bit that got me, "...the team has produced this year"
Did you really mean to say that? Ok, the Luton game was good for a laugh, but really, "produced this year"??
Nevertheless, quality stuff mate, keep it up!!![]()
No you didn't.
