Looks like this forum is imploding, I didn’t see the thread that caused the furore but I can see the fallout.
I’ve been here since coming over from BBC606, there’s been some crap at times but never the kind of invasion by outsiders to the SAFC thread with the kind of abuse that I’ve heard about.
Sounds like some of my favourite posters are going or gone, won’t be much point to it soon.
Shame because it’s been a real pleasure meeting with a lot of them at and before games, hopefully that will continue, irrespective of whether or not they are still on here.

I'd say that if you're really busy away from the board and it's causing stress having to moderate and being criticised for it then fair play maybe pack it in.

If it's more about if you're doing a good job or not then as far as I'm concerned you are and should stay on.

Sorry to read this but there is little kudos in being a mod just more or less ****.
I appreciate your efforts and hope that you will reconsider your position but whatever decision you reach wish you well.
It seems quite ironic that this situation has developed from an invasion from within this group / board when posters from other boards have been dealt with.
Sad state of affairs, think everyone and I mean everyone, needs to look at themselves and their actions and calm down.

Fair enough mate. Doesn't matter what forum I have been on, mods are treated by some as full time staff who get paid to be present 24/7. As a voluntary position you can only give so much and if you are then being made to feel **** for that then can't blame you fit chucking the towel in. Hope you are staying on as a member though!

He can have his problem with Saff, but, as he was simply sticking up fir me and was told by Smug in no uncertain terms, that he “had no right” to back me up. my response to that post can be found on the chunk thread (and I had already explained this to smug previously), I have a new job and a new business which has taken up a lot of my awake time. That’s why I’ve not got on and been able to find the **** that’s happened. Yet smug will use it as a stick to beat me with and I’m sick. Only one poster to blame fir this, but he can have his way as far as I’m concerned.

Weird how grateful I was for him helping me get to an away gane and get my son to his first ever. To this.

Surely that's what being a Mod is all about mate, otherwise what's the point. You had the time to post about the thread from Tel and defend Saff who was quite clearly the cause of it. He's someone who's never happier than when he's causing trouble and threatening to destroy the board or get his 'mates' over here to swamp the place.

It was blatantly obvious the thread would cause nothing but trouble but you sat back and did nothing, or perhaps you thought it was a worthwhile thread. In my opinion you should've pulled it the second you saw it. How long would that have taken?

Instead you seem to want to lump all the blame onto me for expecting you to moderate. It's ironic that you're complaining about being 'slagged off' when you allowed a thread to be posted slagging off a fellow Mod and asking for him to be removed.

You speak as if you're the only person who has a life off this forum, we all do. Don't blame me for you not carrying on, if I'm such a problem just say so and I'll stop posting myself.

This board is run mainly for football info which is great for exiles etc. It's been run quite well from what I've seen by you and Gordon, whether some like it or not. It's a shìt job but someone has to do it..
