Just a game? Seriously? I think the negatives and concerns that supporters have (and understandably so, in my opinion) will take more than a victory to convince some people Hurst is cut out for this level. My personal opinion is to give him until Christmas, unless we go 15 games without a win, and in that case it’s time to cut our losses. We’ve traditionally been a club that gives time to our managers, but I think it would be entirely understandable to seek a change after 15 games without a win. In the event of that happening, a degree of blame should be attached to the main main responsible, Marcus Evans. Where was the due diligence? Why was Hurst allowed to make such sweeping changes apparently unhindered? I believe a Director of Football should be appointed for the future, with a clear blueprint and strategy for developing and playing our youth players, as well as playing an attractive style of football. From what I’ve seen so far this season, we are failing on those two points.
