We've played over half the teams in the "toughest league". I guess they are all **** against us. Long may it continue! :)

Indeed. It's not three games, or five games. It's ten games. Half the league. And we haven't even played Leicester, Villa, Burnley and Palace yet!!

I'd challenge most sides in the division to go away to West Ham, Swansea and Hull and come away with three wins and two clean sheets.

The wierd thing is that towards the end of today's game I was thinking that Hull have probably been the best team we have played so far.................then I thought..............but they never really gave us any trouble. Strange. Maybe that was what was meant by if Hull had Pelle they would be where Saints were. They are superb until the final third.

O
I am as realistic as most fans...we know injuries and suspensions would hit us harder than the richer sides, but I find it amusing to dream of us plugging away quietly over the whole season. At what point would the press consider us contenders? We can dream :).

But let's get the credit we deserve today. We are four points behind Chelsea and five points ahead of ****ty. Do the media have a different table that automatically takes ten points off and outs us lower mid table wher we supposedly belong as a "plucky team". They are tossers

1898 - when one of the "Big Clubs" loose there are no easy games in the EPl but when we keep winning, its because we have only played the lesser teams.
Remember we have beaten away both WHU and Swansea who sit in 4th and 5th and add to that beating Arsenal away in the cup, we aren't doing badly
We don't really think this run will continue in this manor but I don't see us falling away badly either. Still December and January will sort out this argument as the Big Boys roll into town

I said last year that without Suarez we were a better side than Liverpool and that Rodgers was clueless and had zero tactical knowledge.....And I will continue to repeat this as many of this board mocked me and said Rodgers was a decent manager.

I have no fear of that situation happening to Saints. It isn't the transfers that are Liveprool's problem, it is the manager.

Gerrard out and Henderson in his role. Use Coutinho Sterling and Lallana as a floating 3 behind Balotelli / Sturridge / Lambert. Those four given licence to roam. Buy a decent leader to go with Lovren. Buy a decent keeper. There is no excuse for Liverpool not scoring many with the players Rodgers has. Does matter that their defence is bad but they should not be losing without scoring. Today - 63% possession, 6 shots attemped!!!!!!!!

And to add to the 'we were better than them last season if they didn't have Suarez, that was the old Saints team and we are even better now.

+ I have money on Saints to win the league, finish 2nd, top 4 and top 6 so I will continue to will them on each week :)

Love the optimism

Just caught up with Pelle's interview on Football Focus. Lovely to have another excuse to see lots of goals again. The interviewer was simpering at him I swear...naughty Graziano, turning up for an interview in shorts. Apparently Cork and Schneiderlin wanted to sit in on the interview because they are all such mates. No wonder she simpered...all that testosterone in one small room. Pelle says that he wouldn't achieve what he has without Koeman...and Koeman wouldn't have achieved what he has without him. Ooooh....controversial. But he's so charming we'll forgive him.

Will compile all social media stuff when most of the players and staff have posted, and stick it in the Social Saints thread. <ok>

That would have been a really good win under normal circumstances. Considering our midweek battle, short preparation time and our opponents having a week to rest and prepare. That is a fantastic win.

We have only lost to Liverpool and Spurs in close games...teams supposedly bigger than us are losing to teams like Newcastle, West Ham and QPR. We are winning all those 'winnable games' that others drop points in.

I apologise to West Ham...included them because we beat them easily....forgot they are also doing well.

@SchneiderlinMo4: What a good way to finish the week ! A other Clean sheet and what a goal from @VictorWanyama !
