Get urself in darleys (big family pub with decent grub & will b showing game on sky). Turn off for hessle & its a mile down from the humber bridge. Then go get the p&r in hessle to the ground. Job done.

This is as good as place as any for being near'ish' to the groundI have seen away fans in zoo on prinny ave a few times
Try the places down Princes Avenue, nice area and welcoming for away fans from what i've heard. Not sure on places to eat though.
I'm sorry but I must say I despair at away supporters walking down Anlaby Road around the KC, an utter shambles through total lack of investment for improvements. But I agree that if the away supporters can find it, then Darleys is a decent choice with kids in tow. Not sure what Brickies is like these days.
I'd reccomend Darley's if your with kids and want to pop on the Park and Ride down to the KC. Grub and Beer's fairly cheap and pretty good.
If you're wanting to be in city centre and walk down to the game, there's a lovely little pub called the Wellington Inn not too far from St Stephens shopping centre, which if you go straight through there's a road right up to the stadium. They have about 100 bottled beers and ten pumps, with a few changing fortnightly.
dont worry too much about sky, the game is on itv.

Oh come on - there's far more famous grounds with far worse areas nearby.Take both Liverpool clubs or even Citeh for instance - they make Anlaby Road look like the hanging gardens of Babylon.
At Man City they've avoided the problem by pretty much demolishing everything around the ground, it's almost all new flats now(or sites for new flats).
It's also the worst car park in Britain to get out of.
