I’m sure we are all aware of the unfolding trial re the Hull funeral parlour.
There is a piece on BBC News online today about the crisis team who had to go in and try to unravel the chaos they found re identifying people and the items due to be buried/cremated with them. This “man” must be the souless bastard I’ve ever heard of. It’s worth a read to highlight the jobs some people have that go unnoticed by us but go on.
Good against evil I guess.

It is absolutely horrifying and there'll be more to come out once the guy is sentenced.

There's already stories of people who mixed ashes (which are now known to not be of their loved ones) with tattoo ink. Not something everyone would choose to do but it starkly illustrates the callousness of knowingly providing the wrong remains to a family.

As I say; horrifying.

Even more horrifying is the bastard is allowed out on bail. And what happened to the woman who was arrested, and charged, with him when this case first broke?

Not sure if I’m misunderstanding, but What did he gain by not putting things in the coffins, etc? I don’t understand why he did it?

My understanding (guess) at the time the story broke was that people paying for a “no fuss” funeral (corpse collected, cremated & ashes collected by the family afterwards).

I presumed he was overloading coffins & sharing the ashes however. Saving **** loads on his outlay.

Some even have their own incinerators

Jail is not good enough for this vile bastard...they should inject him with some sort of virus that takes ages for the **** to die in excruciating pain covered in ****

There appears to be a lack of regulation in the industry as a whole which leads to some practices which, whilst not illegal, are somewhat disrespectful. In this case however the bloke seems to have got into a financial mess, meaning that suppliers wouldn't provide him with coffins / cars etc due to previous non-payment and crematoriums wouldn't do cremations for him for the same reason. So bodies were held at the premises, ashes were provided to families who's loved ones had not been cremated and the situation got worse and worse.

I find it difficult to believe that others who worked there were not aware - at least in part. 30 odd dead bodies are not easy to hide.
