I know website redesigns in general are never popular, but this seems to have gone from unworkable to unreadable.

I used to click the "news" and "sports" tabs and get the list of most recent stories - the list was was easy to scroll through to see what's occuring in the area. Now it's seven top stories, three of which contain auto-loading videos, lots of sub-headlines and mixing up with the "what's on" and other non-news articles. Tons of scrolling plus loads of massive pictures and clickbaity headlines.

I didn't think they could make it much worse that it was, but boy I was wrong. Are there any other sources of local news out there?

They must be having some teething problems, the headers were linking to the wrong articles when you clicked on them yesterday.

They also seem to have deleted all historic stories.

I hate the HDM website particularly when I'm at work with adblocker. 2 or 3 ads are on each page and the site runs unbearably slow.
It was crashing IE and Chrome today, unresponsive scripts, page has stopped working reload errors. A disaster.

Just looked this morning, seems to be working ok, looks a lot fresher than the old one.

Edit: I only use a conventional laptop though...

I cant access it all off my i phone thingy now...it was bad before but seems impossible now. Going to have to rely of the updates in here from you guys...which are usually more up to date and much more fun to read anyway!

I hate the HDM website and avoid it whenever possible, surely it can't be any worse than it was?
I have avoided using it for about 18 months because it was rubbish. I thought I would give it another go today but I believe it is even worse.
What is the point of a company whose job is to communicate to people having an unusable website?
