We only have a few times we can wear the away shirt at home and we’ve used them all up.

Are you sure, I've never heard of any such rule and clubs have chosen to wear their away kit at home before?

We've only done it twice this season anyway as far as I can remember and one of them was a charity thing and almost all clubs did it.
