Not sure it’s the biggest but it definitely often gets understated just how big a rivalry this is.

It isn’t really a rivalry. They don’t give a stuff about us.

Have I missed something? When did Middlesbrough become a big rivalry?

There will be plenty who remember some tear ups with Boro over the years. Not sure that would make them rivals but there has certainly been some exchanges in my lifetime.

For me it's been since the smoggy bastards stole my motorcycle, from outside of a hospital of all places too.

Acun is funding the club to an additional 400,000 a week.

That figure has been banded about for a while, but is very much guess work to a large degree.

Shouldn't be, it was covered by Keiren Maguire some time ago. He's also over-exagerrating (someone will tell me he's done it for the clicks), that 400k is before player sales, which included KLP. We only lost about 6m for the year which works out to 115k a week.

That was our operational loss before sale of KLP was taken into account. It isn't a new figure, it's in our last set of accounts.

FFP on average allows you to lose £13m per annum, (£39m over 3 years) so if these figures are correct, and I think they are very much guess work, then there will have to be player sales to balance the books, or this 400k weekly figure is off the mark.

If it's anywhere near that number, you'd have to think he's looking for a return sooner rather than later, which makes splashing the cash in January and missing the play offs this season even more pivotal.

It refers to last season where we sold KLP to offset the loss. As for this season, not sure what the numbers will look like with quite a bloated squad, which is why Greaves and/or Philogene will be off in the summer.

I thought it interesting that when Burnsy came out with the figure BC didn't do anything or say anything to rebut it. And he did say an additional 400k I presume this is on top of EFL, gate, sponsorship and merchandise sales.

Because the operating loss is where that 400k a week figure comes from. While it's factual it's not the full picture. We actually lost 5.2m in the year after taking into account the sale of KLP. Additional 400k of course referring to the fact that's the loss, meaning income less expenditure.

That loss also isn't a cash loss. It's not Acun writing a cheque each week for 100k.

There's an FFP thread though which might be more relevant for this..
