I would expect he will stick with his 433 unfortunately, and probably give Eaves the lone upfront role, which is not what is needed. Like you, I fear Colin will outfox McCann and get the win. I hope I'm wrong, but we really do need 3 points, so here's hoping.

I'm going, I don't know why I subject myself to it, but it's good to be able to see the problem as opposed to just hearing about it.

And that's why we are driving up from Leicester for the 2nd time in 5 days. Hope the weather is a little better.

Radio 5 Fighting TALK on the way up . No Walton Street I am told. Like the 'good old days', trying to get parked between Silver Cod and John Ford menswear, ( nip in for some fashionable togs), pop in to William Gemmell for a pint and.......................... well we all know the rest.

Anticipation followed by another home defeat with a little more displeasure coming from the home crowd perhaps? Grants post match analysis will be more tetchy and a long drive back listening to Grimsby' manager being interviewed. Listen to Humberside as we are leaving, tune in to radio 5 for something better and get that prick Savage talking more crap.

Get in, back on here to read the post match analysis. Away fans joy still ringing in my ears?

If there is a better way to spend a Saturday I don't know about it :emoticon-0112-wonde

You know what DJ, I'm beginning to think that my vote on here doesn't actually have ANY affect on the outcome of the game at all !!!!!

Drinking copious amounts of river water from the Hull, chewing the chunky bits for at least two minutes a piece?

I imagine it will go the same way it usually does with us not winning.
I just wish he would try something different if it’s true we are to be sold soon what’s he got to lose.

I'm a supporter all the time, I just don't always like what I see and committing hari-kari is sometimes preferable to witnessing the dirge we're currently capable of producing.

Or is there some rule that says I have to be super positive all the time? Because, and I can't stress this enough, that ain't me homes.

Lot of talk about Eaves starting. Not sure about that myself. He got the tap in but was he that amazing on Tuesday? I'm not convinced. Think Tyler Smith is the one who really should be starting myself, he's the only one of our attackers who seems to be able to get himself into scoring positions regularly.

I'd prefer both, but if we're sticking with this formation and tactic I'd at least have Eaves for the daft long balls. I like Smith as a striker, he's probably the best one we have in terms of quality, but without changing this formation, I think he'll find himself isolated against two centre halves because he's not the biggest.

Play a long daft ball towards Eaves and who knows, he may even get somewhere near it. :emoticon-0100-smile

We launch balls when Magennis is up there but it's hopeless because the quality of the balls isn't great and we aren't really set up like a long ball team with loads of players packing the box. I think we're a good example of why it isn't as simple as just having one tall player.

In the few minutes that he was on the other night he did win a couple of high balls out of defence and, best of all, he managed to keep on side. I'd be happy to see him paired with Tyler Smith up front - it could work out.

Don't think playing Eaves as a lone striker will get us very far. Playing someone else up there with him might.

I dint think launching the ball in the air on a day like today will do us any favours.... they on the other hand might just keep doing that in other hope something drops for them...

I agree, I'd like to see both if possible, but we won't, so I'd rather Eaves was there against a Neil Warnock team over Smith, who I think would just get excluded from the game.

And yet, eight weeks in, we're still doing it. So if we're going to persist with it, I'd at least have a target man on the field. Both of them up front is ideal, a big man and a quick, smaller man is perfect against sides like this. Just a shame we won't see it.

Half an hour into the Sheff Utd game I posted, jokingly, our front 3 looked so bad I'd rather see Eaves up there with Smith! Funny if it happens...
