We had a now defunct Morison thread.
Now we need a Hudson thread though dont know how long it will run.
Watched his post Blackburn and pre-Wigan interviews.
In two minds.
At times he seemed quite stilted and awkward, at others relaxed and fluid.
Some questions he was enthusiastic and bullish, others reserved and hesitant. With the latter, his body language changed dramatically, becoming closed, though still answering the question.
Certainly seems less defenssive / agressive than Morison but also less confident in front of the press.
We've had a variety of styles of managers with the press.
Probably DJ and Colin being the two extremes with DJ always seeming speaking to the press was a chore while Colin loved the the stage.
Management is a very different beast than coaching and it feels as if its a bit early for Hudson.
Not having a strong football person on the board doesn't help him.
Hopefully, if he can keep results going in the short to medium term (if he gets that long) he'll get support through the transfer window. Not just financial support, but management support.
Interesting interviews.
Sometimes he said lots of words without giving any information. Other times succinct and informative.
Good stuff around his management of Harris, less info around the injured players other than he wants Adams playing before the international break.
Laughed off the speculation around Gabbidon and Ledley but confirmed they wanted another coach in.
Not sure we'll see big changes under Hudson, but hopefully he can consolidate the progress that has been made.
