We had a now defunct Morison thread.
Now we need a Hudson thread though dont know how long it will run.

Watched his post Blackburn and pre-Wigan interviews.
    In two minds.

At times he seemed quite stilted and awkward, at others relaxed and fluid.

Some questions he was enthusiastic and bullish, others reserved and hesitant. With the latter, his body language changed dramatically, becoming closed, though still answering the question.

Certainly seems less defenssive / agressive than Morison but also less confident in front of the press.

We've had a variety of styles of managers with the press.
Probably DJ and Colin being the two extremes with DJ always seeming speaking to the press was a chore while Colin loved the the stage.

Management is a very different beast than coaching and it feels as if its a bit early for Hudson.
Not having a strong football person on the board doesn't help him.

Hopefully, if he can keep results going in the short to medium term (if he gets that long) he'll get support through the transfer window. Not just financial support, but management support.

    Interesting interviews.
Sometimes he said lots of words without giving any information. Other times succinct and informative.

Good stuff around his management of Harris, less info around the injured players other than he wants Adams playing before the international break.
Laughed off the speculation around Gabbidon and Ledley but confirmed they wanted another coach in.

Not sure we'll see big changes under Hudson, but hopefully he can consolidate the progress that has been made.

    Excellent thoughts.
I have to get past the the thoughts of everything positive that MH achieves will be on the coattails of SM. I'm just not very good with what I thought was unfinished business. However you're absolutely right that we have to live in the here and now.

I didn't criticise SM for his dodgy external communication skills so it wouldn't be right for me to do so with MH. That said, as it seems so important to many, he needs help and guidance.

He's a very likeable man but we know that counts for little in football. I also think he's been given a better start in terms of the squad and style than his predecessor. Hopefully, as time goes on he can further develop the "new way" but I have concerns as to whether he's an out of the box thinker.
Full support from me but I do t think he's got what it takes to move us further on. I'm sure others will disagree and I genuinely hope they're right

I thought he came across well on Sky after the game.

He’s appears to be just a nice and genuine man. Whether that’s enough to be a successful manager is doubtful but we just don’t know what’s he’s looking behind the scenes.

I’m in 2 minds about whether he needs to find his own feet or whether he’d benefit from an experienced hand.

Time will tell but credit where credits due with 4 points from 2 games which on paper could easily have gone south.

Unfortunately, its a cross he'll have to bear.
Can't help but feel there was something not football related that cost Morison his job.

Didnt see the sky interview, just going by the interviews on the city website.
I quite like the guy and was maybe overly analytical of his 'performance', reading too much into it, looking for things that are not there.
Maybe I still think I'm in work.

I've not seen any TV interviews but in the press reports I have seen he has come over well, not as defensive/aggressive as Morison.

Things can only get better if the good results continue, just hope it's not another of the false dawns seen before.

No jokes about getting up at the crack of dawn please.
