Thud has tweeted, two players in (so far) Does Tom know something we don't...
Little Mo will take a bit of pressure of Tom and allow him to roam. Tom Ince to play up top with Abel, in a 3-5-2 anyone?

Huddlestone is an interesting one. I don't like the thought of him playing as our attacking midfielder as he's simply too slow - someone in that area needs to be more agile, faster, able to twist and turn in tight spaces with the ball and get away from defenders. At the moment we have one player fitting that role and it's a certain Mr. Quinn. Huddlestone did get forward for that great goal against Sheff Utd but let's face it, their defence was a fair bit weaker (and slower) than he faces week in, week out here. Huddlestone to me is ideal sitting in the middle, collecting the ball and distributing it along with popping up outside the box for some longer range shots.

We need players around him to run with the ball more, those with the pace to do so. Livermore and Meyler haven't really offered that - they both have bags of energy but use it more defensively to close opposing players down rather than making attacking runs with the ball themselves. Brady, Quinn and Aluko can all do it in an advanced position, Elmo pretty much has his one move knocking it past fullbacks out wide and with Ince we haven't really seen what he likes to do as he's played a few different positions. Maybe Diame can be a bit more direct.

He's hardly had a chance as a starter. And he's stayed with the club despite not getting gametime. A primadonna player wouldn't have done that.

I have never met Pat and have no desire to...

On a side note am I the only one who doesn't really rate Tom ince?

Skilled and speedy player but doesn't seem to offer much. Don't think he'll score or assist much. Akin to Aluko. Maybe Brucey not using him properly.

Huddle stone just needs a little bit more urgency to his game then he'd really shine

Cannot see Bruce dropping Jelavic any time soon, Ince just needs time to settle in the side give him a chance he will come good.

Jelavic is fully capable of scoring the goals for us, we just need better service for him. If we keep playing like we did after the changes against Villa we'll be fine, if we play like the first half we'll be in for a long season.

It'll be interesting to see which formation he goes with after the new signings are here, we certainly looked lively with that 4231.

If you seriously believe Quinn is the the standard of a consistent Premier League starter for us then I would suggest you are deluded and in my opinion categorically wrong. You just have to see the quality of players we have, the quality of players we are signing and the quality of players that competition teams have to see that Quinn isn't of that stature or ability.

He's a good squad player and bench player but if we are to seriously progress then he will go the same way that Boyd has gone. Put it this way, there were Championship clubs sniffing around him.
