Finally, was just starting to get a it worried about it! Really good bit of business. Shame we've got to wait a bit before we see him.

Yeah been checking twitter instead of working. Apparently he's given an interview to the Leeds site. Might be worth a read.

CITY are delighted to confirm exciting midfielder Jonathan Howson has put pen to paper for the Canaries and is set to join from Leeds United for an undisclosed fee, after agreeing personal terms and completing a stringent medical.

The deal is subject to the paperwork being approved by the relevant footballing authorities.

After agreeing a three-and-a-half-year deal, Howson is poised to become Paul Lambert's first signing of the January transfer window and will wear shirt number 24 for the Canaries.
Howson is set to join former Leeds team-mate Bradley Johnson at Carrow Road, following a memorable spell with his boyhood club where he made 193 appearances in all competitions, scoring 28 goals.

The 23-year old captain helped guide the Whites to second place and promotion in the 2009-10 season, which saw the Canaries take the league title, also playing a major part in United's seventh place finish in the Championship last season.

The England Under-21 international has also made 20 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring once before picking up a knee injury in the Leeds' 2-0 win over Millwall on December 3.

Howson made his Leeds United debut against Hull City in 2006, before becoming United's youngest captain since the iconic Billy Bremner, when then manager Gary McAllister awarded him the captaincy as a 19-year old in April 2009.

The midfielder also scored his first goal for Leeds against the Canaries in 2007, opening the scoring before Dion Dublin and Darren Huckerby secured a 2-1 win for City at Carrow Road.

On the attributes Howson will bring to his squad, City boss Paul Lambert said: "I think he has been brilliant for Leeds - how he has played but also being their captain brings its own demands. It's a fantastic club Leeds.

"I think he can add goals to our midfield which I think we need and he can do that. He'll get better as a player the higher the level he goes up. If he does that and everything goes well, he'll be a great player for us."

Entirely agree 100% . I find it bizarre some people seem to be getting all worried because he's not signed on the dotted line just yet. These transfers are quite long drawn out processed with far more going on behind the scenes than we are aware of. if it wasn't for the wonderful worl of the internet and social networking we prrobably wouldn't have heard anything about this yet like Beefy says <ok>

Got the shirt on my 24th Birthday, plus I don't like going for usual numbers 9, 10 etc.

So If you ever see Beef 24 at Carrow Road you know it's me
