One or two on here will know that I'm half Italian, half English, though sadly, even though I can adopt a brilliant Italian native accent, I can't string together any actual sentences. I've got about 100 or so words of Italian but don't expect me to use them. In fact I can speak French far better, which obviously helps when on holiday there, and even when one dips across the border into Spain, one can get away with it. But Mauricio has got me started on Spanish..! From a dead nothing, I'm upto a dozen or more words without trying. And I'm starting to get an idea of what he's saying before the interpreter says his piece.

How about you..? Are you getting a free Spanish lesson every time Pochettino is interviewed or do you speaka da lingo [sorry, that's mock italian], I mean, speako dos lingos..? ;)

Managed to seduce a Spanish girl (in Spanish) on my gap year. But that was eleven years ago (god, that's depressing) Nowadays, they talk to fast for me to keep up.

And I have an ace French accent.

I got a C in GCSE French if it's any help? I'm really good at ordering food and that's about it. I know Los Pollos Hermanos (sp?) is the chicken brothers or something along those lines but I only know that because of some drug dealers.

Wife is Portuguese. got together in 2004. She can't understand me. I can't understand her. It's the perfect marriage :)

I can grasp a few words and convey my message simply.......as well as get the message across with the international language that is gesticulation :)

I can't speak much of it, and people speak too fast for me to be able to translate it, but I can decipher decent amounts if it's written down.

I speak a bit, studied some at university about ten years ago. Rekindled it when we went travelling in Central America, mainly Nicaragua, which was fantastic. Poche really has a nice clear accent, and I'm always listening with a keen ear. Would love to speak it more.
