How will you (and others with similar opinions) feel if they are found not guilty? Bent authorities taking bribes/money talks or just "wow, fair play i thought i knew it all".
The reason the PL has been hesitant to push charges (even when UEFA has already found City guilty of some of them) is that City bring big names to the PL. City is a cash cow for the PL. As much as we all hate the buying of the league started by Chelsea and followed by city. City money has helped make the Premier League the richest league by bringing big names to England and making the league marketable to foreigners to watch... What is it now, something like 10 times more foreigners watch the PL than La Liga now. (Don't remember exact number) Obviously the PL is not motivated to find City guilty. If City is found not guilty, I don't think many will believe they're really not. It's in the PL (as an organization) best interest that their biggest cash cow isn't put down. That's why I think the PL won't punish City harshly. Punishing City is shooting themselves in the foot. They don't want Haaland and company to go to Spain.
Not sure I agree with that statement You have to go back a long time to find a team that hasn’t in some way bought the league imho I suppose it depends on your definition of bought the league Chelsea had to spend that money to propel them into a group they were not in. How is a team paying the highest wages not buying the league also ? Just cause it took longer to build that way doesn’t mean it wasn’t buying the league. Obviously one way appears to be more palatable but for me it is the same thing. Imho
I am certain the will be cleared Whilst it’s fairly obvious they are guilty (whatever that means as the rule is daft) as I have said before I just want it to go away It’s making a laughing stock of the game and I believe it’s a daft thing a rule break should be something g like playing 12 players or paying the ref off
That would depend on whether or not they were clearly exonerated beyond reasonable doubt, or whether they got off on a "technicality". There are different ways to arrive at a not guilty verdict - as we saw last time. Ask me when it happens.
we all know the score here. they are guilty.as sin. we all saw the elated document. we all know exactly how mancini was.paid.
Just reading some bits - pep saying that already been through this with uefa and that the club were proved to be completely innocent (exact quote). I wish some reporters would have stopped him right there and actually pointed out that no one not uefa or cas found them innocent. The fact that they still had to pay a fine suggests that there was some guilt there. Only reason the punishment wasn’t uphold was because some issues were time barred. Confused if he actually believes they were innocent or just complete denial. He seems an intelligent guy so can’t be the former surely.
he's fixing his error in judgement of saying he would quit if they are guilty. he is saying that they are innocent even of found guilty so he doesn't have to. he's a rat
Cognitive dissonance, like I said yesterday - he knows they're guilty, but he doesn't want it to be that way so an inner conflict arises. I was disappointed the first time round when he started crowing about how they'd been completely cleared and nobody pulled him up over it, but then sports hacks have no integrity either so don't want to be banned from press conferences I suppose. On the other hand, I would say it's not really down to him to answer these questions, and they should probably all shut up about it, him included.
The Premier leagues legal team are useless and they'll get whipped by the sports lawyer nick demarco once again.
I think you're mistaking this for a legal case, it isn't. It's an independent investigation. Lawyers are representing both sides but they aren't running the thing.
Factually not true because Greaves scored two in the charity shield which have been discounted because Harry has never played in it because his team is too **** to get into it.
