You all must be in a bad way if you´re starting to believe the Mail <laugh> - I´ll see it before I believe it. A win today and a draw on Monday should do nicely to keep Mr Neil here for another month at least. :)

Over the last few weeks, NCFC on social media have been pumping out the rhetoric more than ever. Quantity over quality seems to be the ethos of their media team as well as deeply rooted in the higher echelons there. It is laughable that in this day and age, someone is not picking up the 99% of negative commentary sent back the other way in the form of fan comments. Someone up there either has the thickest skin known to humanity or a penchant for some sick long running joke

they have some serious short term memory loss imo or new business plan straight out of the doomcaster CEO handbook, this scenario has been repeated many times over the last few seasons and we've learned nothing, the only difference then being we had Mcnally to give them all a rocket. Jez fits into Delias mold as a risk averse CEO rather than DM style who was forcing change for the better. If this lame attitude was brewing behind closed doors then its no wonder DM left...

His refusal to meet one of the EDP reporters, but release a contrived video instead speaks volumes!!!

Press suggesting AN gets a reprieve from sacking. Based on recent events where we win one followed by more poor performances I think we should not get too carried away from the Derby win. Next few matches look winable so if this continues there may be a longer term future for AN
 
Am I the only one who is beginning to believe that getting rid of the Manager AT ALL COSTS is now the priority. I suspect that if you offered a guarantee to some fans of top 6 or even top 2 if AN stays they would still want AN sacked. I am not suggesting that AN has definitely turned it round but surely the recent performances show that he has not lost the dressing room and deserves a reprieve from the axe.

No he still deserves to be sacked based on his performance over the last year or so. Not sure how you think one decent win and a goalless draw against a mid table team means that he's suddenly the right man to get us promoted to the PL & keep us there. And you accuse others of knee jerk reactions !!! As I said many times in the past I'd get rid of him even if he got us promoted.

Did I say anything in my comment that you have accurately quoted. I said that ' I am NOT suggesting that AN has suddenly turned anything round ' I did NOT say that he is suddenly the right man to get us promoted ' I did not accuse others of knee jerk reactions. It has reached the stage on this forum that anybody who dares to query the words of the majority is immediately misrepresented, misquoted and attacked and I, for one, have had enough of it.

No, sometime ago you accused me of a knee jerk reaction when I finally lost patience with AN after the Birmingham result and got off the fence (You have accused others of the same thing). You then implied in you're post that people had an agenda to get rid of AN at all costs and that people would still want him gone even if he got us a top 6 or indeed top 2 place. I gave you my view on this. You then suggested that because of one good result and a poor performance against a young mediocre mid table team that he deserved a reprieve. No you didn't say that he was the right man to get us promoted, nor did you say he wasn't the right man. Clearly from you comments you intend others to take a view as to what you're thoughts are, because you didn't have the gumption to actually state what they were. As the goal is surely to get promoted back to the PL, by suggesting he deserved a reprieve, you suggested that he was the man to get us to achieve our goal. Feel free to replace suddenly with still if it helps. If you didn't think he could get us promoted back to the PL (which is our goal) why would you suggest that recent performances meant he deserved a reprieve. I haven't misquoted you, I haven't attacked you and I don't believe I've misrepresented you. Indeed I don't understand how I can either misquote or misrepresent what you post when I included your actual post in my response. You can query or question as much or as little as you like (not that it's for me to say what you should or shouldn't post) and the majority view regularly changes, I've been been in a minority of one on plenty of occasions. However in this case you haven't queried the view of the majority, you have merely written, dare I say delibrately, an ambiguous post leaving it to others to interpret or misinterpret what you've posted and then moaned when I have. Maybe it would help if you actually just stated what your views are i.e. If you think he should stay why not just say so and give the reasons why.

I have no wish to make this personal but in my opinion you struggle to differentiate between fact and opinion and that opinions can change even to the extent where your opinion is ' don't know ' Facts indicate that Chris Hughton is a good manager - opinion indicated to the contrary when he was here. I don't think I have ever hidden my views on AN but I accept that I do not go along with knee jerk reactions based on one or two games. Here in black and white are my opinions, past and present, on AN. When he was appointed I was surprised and was of the opinion that it could go horribly wrong in view of his age and lack of English managerial experience. I accepted that my original opinion was wrong when he turned the Club round and got us promoted. I said that many times at the time. I was of the opinion that he did a decent enough job in the Premiership bearing in mind that we were a small fish in a very big pond. He made shrewd signings in Pinto and Klose and I am still of the view that if Tettey and Klose had been fit we would have stayed up. In my opinion he was more than capable of getting us promoted again. Once more I made my opinions widely known at the time. At that point there is a slight problem in that I moved to France and no longer went to Carrow Road. I have several times had to agree with ILD that his opinion, based on his own viewing experience, is probably more valid than mine which is based on what I see on Sky and other media outlets. Based on what I could see from here AN, in my opinion, was doing a good job and had got us top of the league and any criticism based on how we were playing or the quality of the teams we had played was unjustified - you can only beat the teams you face. I made my opinions well known at the time hence my exchanges with ILD.
When people started calling for his head after a couple of defeats I thought it was a knee jerk reaction but as the bad run continued and the clamour for his head grew I did not change my view that the Club should stick with him and it is wrong to say that I didn't express my opinion when it turned into Dave, RBF and myself against the rest!! After the Brighton game it seemed apparent that there may well be something seriously wrong and I quite clearly stated on more than one occasion that it was probably time for him to go. The Board stuck with him and results and performances have improved. Just as importantly key players such as Basil, Wes and Klose have regained form and the dressing room is quite clearly behind him. We are now only 5 points off the play offs and on that basis and recent results would it be harsh to sack him - IMO yes. Based on results since Oct would it be harsh to sack him - IMO probably not. Is there a ready made replacement out there - possibly Rowett. Is Rowett an impact Manager or a long term builder - IMO the latter. Has Rowett got more chance than AN of getting us up this year - IMO no. Is there an available Manager out there who is more likely to get us up this year than AN - IMO no. Is AN a good Manager - IMO yes. I am therefore in a position where I have changed my mind again and think we should stick with him. I hope that clarifies my position although I do accept that it is a minority view and it might be relevent that his three biggest supporters live well away from Carrow Road. i

Excellent post Midway, Rowett is apparently heading for Hull, I'm back on the fence with AN, we've had too many false dawns to be fully behind him yet but I would love it if he manages to keep the run going!
 
Very well put 1950 and IF there was a suitable replacement manager 'waiting in the wings', then I would probably say sack AN.
In some ways, I feel that Brady's red card has helped us, as he's unable to pick him even if he wanted to and I'm hoping that Brady may well be on his way out of CR by the time Wolves arrive.
I was VERY impressed by the team's efforts on Monday and they all 'ran their socks off' and showed no sign of the lethargy that I've seen in previous games and had Naismith had a little more composure in front of goal, the game would have been over by half time!! <ok>
