It may have escaped the notice of certain people but in our last two games we have beaten a potential relegation rival 3-1 and lost away 2-1 to the current form team who have beaten two of the top sides.

And it seems to have escaped your attention that it took a big stroke of luck (goalkeeper error) for us to win Game One and we could easily have lost Game Two by three to five goals.

For me, yesterday's game was the final proof that we are going nowhere under Hughton except the Championship. He hasn't the wit or the flexibility to turn things around.

Luck balances out (Stoke excepted) and we have had our fair share of bad too.If we had a little yesterday it could just as easily have been 2-2.just look at what managers are available to us.They are ****e.Having said that it would be a good laugh to nick MM.

I agree. The options seem to be ****e. But I have finally reached the conclusion that CH will take us down anyway, so what the hell, throw the dice and see what happens.

I suggested Mike Phelan would be a good idea a few weeks ago. Someone said the same on canary call yesterday, Gunny didn't poo-poo it and said he was looking for work. I'm not saying that he would be a guaranteed success but he has had one helluva mentor ! <ok>

Phelan & Olly gunna sol..... Oh **** it OGS

OGS is a no-no. Let's face it, half of our fans can't even spell Hughton's name correctly yet. How on earth would they cope?

(More to the point, I would take the chance on him if we could persuade him to come here.)

If I were looking for a new manager I think I'd go for someone who got free scoring Newcastle promoted from the Championship at the first time of asking with 102 points, a manager that left Newcastle in 10th place in the Premier League having signed a lot of quality players, a manager that got Birmingham City into the Championship playoffs on very limited funds and a manager who got Norwich City to an 11th place finish in his first season in charge. Probably out of our price range I'd have thought.
