i fancy us to be a bit better against good sides away, but against bottom half teams i think we're going to look pretty dire. Need a new tactic when visiting those guys.
At this time, I am not so sure. I think CH will will set up like Stoke have under TP, to not lose in away games. Sadly as Stokies will tell you, it doesn't normally work too well. I hope to be proved wrong, just need to see how the season pans out.
Remember that we haven't seen Hooper yet and Elmander has only been here a week. Both could make a huge impact as they settle in. Fer brought a whole new dimension to midfield today and could be another crucial player for us, as could Olsson, especially in away games with his pace. We should know a lot more by 10 or so games.
Just KIO in WUM mode Munky. Actually I think he could do with an alarm clock; might wake him up and spare us his recurrent nightmares.
Wouldn't matter if it was working, he'd STILL have a lot of time! One thing I will say, thank God we don't have one of these pants-wetters in McNally's job, we'd have a different manager every bloody week!
Sat Sep 21 Aston Villa H - Lose (Does Lambert do two deafeats on the bounce?) Sat Sep 28 Stoke City A - Lose (Draw at best) Sat Oct 5 Chelsea H - Lose (nuff said) Sat Oct 19 Arsenal A - Lose (nuff said) Sat Oct 26 Cardiff City H -Draw (If we're lucky) Sat Nov 2 Manchester City A - Lose (normal service resumed at Eastlands 0-6) 10 games, 5 points, relegation zone Rest assured that it will give me no pleasure whatsover when I come on here and say "I told you so" in November. I so want to be wrong but this is my prediction and IF I am wrong I will post on here and eat humble pie. I'm sure at least one of you will give me a gentle reminder to do so please log in to view this image
Imagine if we beat them this week and as a result Lambert gets the boot, now that would be poetic justice.(I can dream)
As I said on a previous thread I went around some other forums and sites and all clubs at our level are having the same concerns etc. I can tell you, villa fans were not impressed at all, they will want victory, but at home we can win. The threat from them to us is agbonlahors pace. I think bassong can shepherd benteke well.
