There's still plenty of time for a big signing, one that'll get us all buzzing...

Defoe's still looking a tad lonely up front.

3 weeks still to get the lad some quality to keep him company.

I'm currently at a 1. Probably because my give a **** button is currently in the off position, lol.

In all seriousness, we need to see where we are after the window closes to actually fully understand if we are ****ed or not. I truly don't believe for one second that a manager of Moyes ability would have come to SAFC without reassurances from ES around budget for transfers. So I think having a pop at ES and lack of ambition is a little short sighted. He has invested heavily over the years admittedly with **** managers.

As for the lack of communication, we need to get our heads out of our arse on this one. No way should we be making it public knowledge who our targets are. I understand it's frustrating not hearing anything but I truly believe the club are working feverishly behind the scenes to get in all of the targets we are looking for.

People seem to be placing a lot of their opinions on ****e journo bullshit. If Kone goes then so be it and we move on. Looks like it could have legs and if it does then we will be making a handsome profit as well.

Let's all wait to see what happens and then the bitch fest can begin, lol......

Never a truer word said.

Completley chilled out. Currently in Devon having a cracking week away with my family. This morning we had a guided visit to the Beer Quarry Mines; a historic guide to how they quarried Beer stone. That stone was used to build many of our well known cathedrals and other historic buildings around our great nation

The many stories, some very emotional, told by the guide put football in perspective
I'm off to Devon next week, exmouth for a few days and looking forward to the break.
I am pretty chilled now, what will be will be and there is fook all any of us can do about it.

I'm convinced we are going to smash our transfer record, this transfer window, absolutely convinced.

I'm pretty irate the way many of our fans turn on the club before a ball has been kicked... The SAFC Facebook pages are in meltdown..

Moyes has had literally a few weeks with Bain. We have to be decent about this and give them right up until the last day.

I despair at some of our fans, I sometimes wonder why people at the club don't just down tools at times and tell them twisty bastards to do a better job themselves.

To be fair there's championship teams starting to break our record. <laugh>:p
This is true. I stated we would bring in a 10m player and a 15m player. I'm sticking with it, plus M'Vila for 5m. We'll spend another 30m.

Probably sell Kone and M'Vila to balance the books, though <doh>

You know my gripe. It's the run up to this window, not the window itself. Of course as ever, like we say every season, let us finish our business then judge the window.

I'm itching to say it, about our owner, but I won't. I said no more chances last window, and here I am giving him his final chance, again.

Something wrong with us mate.

<laugh>. First thread of the day ive read and its put me in a good mood already. Horden. 83. Blunham.

It was like a Poirot episode. Will he get the clues. Funny. Very funny.

Well I'm glad the fact I'm as dumb as a bag of hammers brought a smile to your face mate, lol

In my defence I hadn't read 83's topic so wasn't aware. But I am now that's for sure.

This whole "judge them at the end of the window" should be a nonsense.

Anyone who is rushing about at the end of August is un-organised and panicking. Just because the window is shut during the previous season doesn't mean you can't be lining deals up, finding out if your targets are available etc.

We keep hearing from managers that they have meetings with their Directors etc when they return from pre-season, this should be done the day after the season, give the board 2 months to get them in and be ready for pre-season. For example, if we sign M'Vila in the next week or two (I'll refrain from saying imminently...) when is he going to be up to match fitness? He's trained on his own and isn't even been involved in a friendly, it'll be 6 weeks and probably 8-9 games into the season before he's up to scratch, hence why we can't afford to just sit and wait for his contract to expire and get him on a free in December, it's too late!!

I know we've lost Allardyce but there's still no excuse for the lack of progress with signings, from Allardyce's targets or from Moyes and his choices.

Serious heads need to roll for the lack of pro-active action this summer.

Prepare to plan, prepare to fail.

Fair enough to some degree, but some very good players only become available towards the end when someone throws a lot of cash on a big signing and there's a cascade effect with several other players suddenly freed up in the last week or so of the window.

There are loads of reasons why signings can take so long.

I also wouldn't be surprised if some deals we were working on were scuppered by Moyes not wanting whoever the club were working to get in, preferring his own options.

We've had the Euro's and a change of manager, so sorry mate, I'm another of those wait and see till the window closes blokes.
