We've been declining since we sold biscan.
I think it is obvious what we need to do to get back in the top 4.

  2. Unless the comments are being made by the same individuals, why are you amazed? There are a lot of people on these boards, each with a difference of opinion.

One good sign is that we are looking to tie down our better players. Suarez, Skrtel, hopefully Agger next.

lucky, you must be smoking wacky baccy,if were a top 6 team that makes you a top 10 team, you won't be anywhere near top 4 at the end of the season, your team's not good enough.

there is nothing wrong with our team it's just going to take a while to gel. PLays like Reina, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Suarez would all get into your first XI and others like Allen, Johnson, Skrtel would be contenders too

What makes you think that Spurs with Jermaine ''10 goals every 2 seasons'' Defoe as their only striker have a chance of top four? Arsenal sold their ''team'' to Manchester United, so we've as much chance or even a better chance than both of them.

Its hardly rocket science that you need a finisher. Great keeper (who had an off season), very good defence (top 4 quality), good midfield (not as convinced as previous years, i think too much is expected of Lucas and Allen and that Gerard is looking tired) but the thing holding you back if your finishing (which everyone knows).

You were never going to get him but just the addition of RVP from last season or Ba/Cisse would be enough to get you a handful more wins over the course of the season and that's all it takes. They're hard to find and you rarely know what you're going to get though!

ps. I have no idea how/why Ba is still at Newcastle, everyone up here expected he'd leave to a 'bigger' club but we're very happy he didn't!

You cannot write Arsenal off! They may have sold their 'team' but there were a number of times last season that they peppered the opposition goal and failed to score. Infact that is a bit of a trademark for them(like us last season), they have bought some quality players in, and may bring in more yet. They will definately get top four!

loving the arrogance! that's guaranteed as well.

3 bloody seasons in the spotlight and now you think your that good!

you have a new manager like us and don't know how the season is going to pan out either way.

try wining something before you give it all that!!

I love Spurs fans, they take part in the champions league for 2 seasons, (could be 3, I don't know as they never got very far) and think they are an established Big Boy. As things stand they have a more settled squad but I feel the quality and depth are just about equal. They are light upfront, we are light in certain areas also. I make them joint 3rd favourites for the 4th spot along with ourselves. With Arsenal & Newcastle out in front.

I cant guarantee what's going to happen, only an idiot or a prepubescent child would make such assumptions, but I´d be very surprised if Spurs finish 4th. Especially if as expected, Modric leaves the club.

actually... sorry to burst your bubble diadora but spurs were only in the CL once. They were in the old european up back in 62 for sure. Their single forray into european champions league glory co-incided with rafa's mad 6 months in charge of inter so they did do well to scrape by yuong boys and then progress past werder bremen and fc twente to meet the mighty AC milan who hammered them 0-0 and 0-1 where crouch scored that late away goal to rob the milanese.

I mean spurs are really a mighty top 4 side what with their forwards like sandro and defoe...

still.... i'd put a wee bet on tiwth you that spurs are the bes tof a bad lot when it comes to 4th. arsenal still have plenty of players but they are not very good up top any more are they?

Haha what is it they say?!, "one swallow does not a summer make" ! quite fitting really.

I´ll be quite happy to have a little bet on the 4th position with you, just to clarify, are you saying Spurs will get fourth & anyone other I win the bet ?

If you are, I´ll bite your arm off :)
