can't wait to see where newcastle end up this year... a mike ashley howler is slightly over due so i am guessing about aug 30 he might just step right in it.
anyway... banter aside, i'm amazed that after buying 3 players soem thing we are still 5 away from a side yet when i said 6 needed in may i was told i was ridiculous. I do think we're a long way off and those 3 new players have a lot to prove to talk about them being top 4 types as it stands. lets see how they do i suppose.
I'd suggest people write out an arsenal first 11 and bench before thinking of writing them off too much but they are the obvious candidates to drop out of a conventional top 4 now. spurs v cheslea = no contest, chelsea will be 3rd at least imo.
Unless the comments are being made by the same individuals, why are you amazed? There are a lot of people on these boards, each with a difference of opinion.
We're well capable of getting fourth, we're as good or even better than both Spurs and Arsenal. Arsenal are toothless and Spurs are a joke. They for the last 3 seasons are possibly the luckiest team ever. Their luck is going to run out and thats a certainty. They are a top 6 side at best, Everton who are a well drilled and organised side are just as good as them. Should Everton start their season in August rather than January, they will push Spurs all the way for a top 6 place.
Newcastle are a very good side with very good players, but they leak goals.
lucky, you must be smoking wacky baccy,if were a top 6 team that makes you a top 10 team, you won't be anywhere near top 4 at the end of the season, your team's not good enough.

there is nothing wrong with our team it's just going to take a while to gel. PLays like Reina, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Suarez would all get into your first XI and others like Allen, Johnson, Skrtel would be contenders too

What makes you think that Spurs with Jermaine ''10 goals every 2 seasons'' Defoe as their only striker have a chance of top four? Arsenal sold their ''team'' to Manchester United, so we've as much chance or even a better chance than both of them.

loving the arrogance! that's guaranteed as well.
3 bloody seasons in the spotlight and now you think your that good!
you have a new manager like us and don't know how the season is going to pan out either way.
try wining something before you give it all that!!

we will both finish above you at the end of the season, that's garanteed.
actually... sorry to burst your bubble diadora but spurs were only in the CL once. They were in the old european up back in 62 for sure. Their single forray into european champions league glory co-incided with rafa's mad 6 months in charge of inter so they did do well to scrape by yuong boys and then progress past werder bremen and fc twente to meet the mighty AC milan who hammered them 0-0 and 0-1 where crouch scored that late away goal to rob the milanese.
I mean spurs are really a mighty top 4 side what with their forwards like sandro and defoe...
still.... i'd put a wee bet on tiwth you that spurs are the bes tof a bad lot when it comes to 4th. arsenal still have plenty of players but they are not very good up top any more are they?
