That Brendan Rodgers goes to the head of referees in this country and then makes it publicly known just before our game with Liverpool. That doesn't put pressure on the ref to award Liverpool everything, does it now!

Absolute disgrace, Dalglish did the same thing last year, total joke

Whenever your ready Liverpool we're ready to play football. You want to know referee woes? You should see some of the penalties awarded against us in recent seasons.

Really, really unclassy. There's no way we'd do this OR get away with it.

Hopefully this will bite him on the bum! Now he has stated that he is telling his players to dive, even a "genuine" foul will be regarded as a dive!

A bit like when Norwich put pressure on the ref by kicking up a fuss before our derby game after Holt was sent off against Reading, And then holt gets away with a dangerous tackle on Colback in the first 5 mins.

Did we go to the head of referees? Were we pissed off because of ONE incident and not the season as a whole? Were we right to be pissed off after the sending off?

In any case, we were so much stronger than you, we would of still won had Holt got a red.<ok>

i absolutely guarantee liverpool will get a penalty tomorrow - its nailed on.

and i simply cannot believe he has come out and said that he WANTS his players to cheat as when they play fairly they get nothing. surely that brings the game into disrepute?
 
So are you saying, if the table was turned you wouldn't have expected an Ipswich player to be sent off? Lambchop publically put pressure on the ref with his views and reaction to Michale Olivers decision. I bet you as soon as he saw who it was who made that tackle, he thought 'oh ****, I should send him off, but i know the reaction i will get'

Anyway back to the present, don't you think that it would be harder now for the ref to give a decision to Liverpool because he will be accused of bias?
 
Modern football. Decided in the media or courts and not on the pitch between 22 guys going for it honestly.
 
Quite hypocritical when you consider they have Suarez. I hope the ref doesnt give them decisions because he maybe accused of bias however as we are not a big club im sure this little rant will work in his favour. Who is ref at the weekend?
 
liverpool are the new newcastle, i.e a soap opera
any controversial decision tomorrow, MOTD are going to love analysing it, after what Rodgers has said / done

Have to agree with you Redruth, Why can't the courts stay out of football, just leave to 22 blokes kicking a bag of wind about.

Its the same as all this handshake crap at the start of a game, its just an empty gesture, i'm sure Suarez feels any differently towards Evra and the other way around, everybody knows it, so why bother!

I had a motto when i played, What happens on a pitch stays on the pitch, I played with some people i couldn't stand off it, but during that 90mins if they needed anybody to fight their corner i would be the first in there!
