You may start one <cheers>

thought better of it! but...

i've been watching a lot of marvel stuff on netflix, althugh by and large they are good. i've started to take issue with iron fist.

reason being is that in the first season there was complaints that the character (white guy, blond hair) wasnt oriental enough - because he does kung fu, he must now obviously be from a oriental background. i dont get it myself.

season two starts and it seems that due to their not being enough females in lead roles, they've taken the lead characters powers away and given them to the side kick woman. totally deviating from the comics. not that i'm a big comic book fan, but isnt the point of writing scripts to tell the story, not cave into political correctness and this insane need to prove that anyone and everyone is equal.

from my point of view, i just want to watch well written stuff and have the characters be portrayed as they've been written, regardless of gender of ethnicity. examples are wesley snipes as blade, angelina jolie as tomb raider, keanu reeves as neo. you wouldnt have a hairy biker as lara croft, or the dwarf in game of thrones as blade would you.

then i read that. apparantly a demand for a female bond. F that! go ruin another franchise, or better yet, create a franchise with a female lead.

I never knew elfs was in the game of thrones? I’ll have to watch it more carefully <laugh>

I think we're 0-4 up against Stevenage ... some kind of practice match is it?

No match thread tonight and we score 7 away from home <doh>

All it means is our reserves are about four leagues better than the reserves of Stevenage.
Roland will be happy - they'll be worth a bit more when he flogs them now.

If this 'match' has given a few of our fringe players some game time, then fair enough.
Any relevance beyond that? None whatsoever.

I haven’t looked, but it must rival the Second Coming over on ITTV right now.
