Surely the best fish and chips should come from Hull?
Haddock and chips from Cave St, had it 2 hours ago.
Oh ye I'm gonna Devon, do a bit of surfing in August.

The best Fish and Chip I ever had we're from a chippy down Neptune Street.

It was more like Whale and Chips!! Used to go there after cheering King Ivan on to another victory.

    Happy Days!

The Fish shop was I think pulled down and replaced by a cold-store warehouse.

Didn't go in there last time i went to Whitby, queue was massive, so went to this crap one next to the arcades instead. Wished i'd stood in line to be honest. I like the chips from that Stuarts of Driffield.

4 Weeks today me, the wife and the 3 kids are off to Great Yarmouth for a week.
Then middle of August will be heading down sarf to Cornwall for a week, Looe has a great chippy but they look at you funny when you ask for a battered sausage.

Tough choice,Wet Wang is a big shout ! Theres even a Harpers near the Queens rd end of Poland av, that does a very

good imitation, the fish is superb, trust me.

The Magpie just shades it though. But maybe thats the location helping.

Anyway when it comes to chippy's were spoiled in ULL. Only tried one darn sarf, and it was processed fish ! I kid you not ! Heathens !!!!

Lovely place Looe. I spent much of my summers as a kid at Downderry just to the east of Looe. Also, my wife broke her waters in Looe for my youngest lad, who was born at the Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Spent ten days in Ireland last month. Twas damned beautiful over there. Dipped into N. ireland for a couple of days to Portrush and Belfast. It really is amazing how different the two countries are. As soon as you cross the border the only similaries are the breakfasts and weather. Nice people in both areas. Missed all the fun in Belfast by a few weeks. Oh well. Heading to Maine next month.

Taken there last year for the first time on my three visits to Hull. Absolute Heaven for
Fish/ Chips lovers like myself. Second only to my husband's who worked in Fish
restaurants in Scarborough/Bridlington during his Hull student days. Serves it with Patties and Scraps!

Back on topic have recently returned form a 5 week holiday in UK/Europe. Based in
Wales with an Aussie girlfriend, a Swansea supporter who had never seen them play
until I took her to the Championship play-off at Wembley.Of course the highlight of the trip was the Darlington win!!

Shall I confess now that I have never attended a Hull City match although I have
tried and it is on my " bucket list".Also I will be watching the Blackpool match on TV with my husband.

Leave tomorrow for a holiday in the Victorian High Country to see some snow.
( Not too far away from Tigeroo territory.). Then it's back to work.

The last time I went to Wetwang I didn't think it was as good as it used to be.
