Tell you one thing driving out into Nevada though, I wouldn't want to break down, you are absolutely miles from anywhere in harsh extremes, with only air conditiong keeping you alive.

I feel the same Duggie, been once to Vegas would never go again, don't help because I'm not a gambler, but yeah it all looks great at night, but not for me as you say overrated. Plus it felt like driving into the middle of no where, forever and ever, there's only so many rocks a person can like lol.

There are two levels of Casino there, the high class professional ones where unless you have got several thousand pounds to burn dont go anywhere near

The majority are versions of slot machines where you see hundred year old zombies with no expression on their faces just putting endless supplies of coins into machines

Best experience I had gambling was on a cruise ship when we were in Cyprus and went on a three day trip to see the Pyramids

I want down to the Casino to play Blackjack with five pounds and two hours later with a tiny bit of help from a gorgeous croupier I went back up with fifteen pounds

On the return trip I went down with the fifteen pounds, same croupier, two hours later I went back up with twenty pounds

If only I had been playing with thousands of pounds

Simple dont go there, been there once and so overrated, the fountains are great tho

Make sure you get the flight up the Grand Canyon and at least see the Glass Platform

I’m not going anywhere near Las Vegas mate, drove through it once and it looked like Blackpool on steroids.

I’m starting my trip in SF; heading to Yosemite, then I’m planning on driving up to Lake Tahoe and working out a route across northern Nevada

Early start again drove over to the Italian side today, think the views are even better there, the queues at the tunnel are fecking annoying,

everything half the price of France.
Back now having a few beers.

Just arrived in Zaragoza en route back home.

It's 11.30 pm and 35 degrees for **** sake. Absolutely baking.

No power in the van, off battery for the night, so no fans running.

This will be fun. Just cracked my second can of still cold San Miguel, gonna sit it our for an hour so my body heat doesn't add to the equation!

That looks great. I’ve frequently looked at Costa Rica. I should have stated I’m away to Jamaica in December so don’t fancy two long hauls like that one month after another.

I’m going to check out Malta, tonight. See what that’s all about. I don’t usually holiday in Europe.
Went to Lanzarote in November last year and the daily temps were in the 30’s. I really enjoyed it and am thinking booking the same this year.

Will be quite something

looking forward to driving through the Swiss pass

epic scenery coming up

We going Lecce, Florence, Tuscany and Verona if I’m not mistaken
Yes also going through the Swiss pass as the Mount Blanc tunnel sounds a terrible journey.

Keep us up to date with this trip when you have the chance, I'm so looking forward to it. Lecce looks amazing we're staying there for 4 days.
